INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE - 1.04 “...The Ruthless Pursuit of Blood with All a Child's Demanding”
he was a father!
headcanon: lestat used to play claude debussy for claudia and louis vierne for louis bc hes corny and cheesy like that
i think theres nothing greater than picking and choosing when to call claudia louis's daughter or lestat's daughter. she's a blood thirsty theatre nerd who loves one woman from the moment she laid eyes on her? thats de lioncourt through and through. she hyperfixates on a situation and finds herself using her heart over her head? vintage du lac.
Immortal beloved, not yet immortal.
when lestat first sees louis, its this scary version of him that people probably whisper about and he falls in love with him in spite of it.
when claudia first sees madeleine she has a man literally tell her to stay away from her bc of rumours and she still enters and ends up falling in love with her.
like father like daughter
Do you know what it means to be loved by death? 🩸

dubai trio + cunty glasses
armand really fumbled the greatest threesome of his life :(
the way he was FULLY looking at dreamstat here. we all joked about it, we all had a laugh, "ahah dream lestat told him to say no" HE DID. HE FUCKING DID.
this happened to my buddy louis du lac once
if we're gonna get rockstar lestat in modern day the showrunners should at least show us him getting constantly cancelled on twitter
claudia's ghost is behind at least 5 hate accounts
Maybe if Louis' arc is over for now and they want to be faithful to the books with less Louis on the main show they could make him an arc on the Talamasca series
Louis‘ arc isn’t over. It wasn’t in the books either. The show is built on Loustat.
i dont know how many times this has to be said. what part of that last scene was giving "his arc is over"? rolin and sam have both said that louis is the main foundation of the show and theres no world where the show carries on without him as a main character. the show is literally about louis and its about lestat and more importantly its about their relationship over the course of the years. this is just the beginning, we're about to see them in ways anne rice has deprived us of, loustat in all their glory (in and out of their relationship)
what happens when Lestat gives us a more explicit sex scene with his mom in season 3 than we ever got between Louis and Armand in season 2?
what then?
dont put that into the universe. i beg, there are children here
the immunity to the fire and the willingness
i feel like not enough people are talking about the scene in magnus' tower where lestat basically says fire cannot hurt him unless he is willing. so heres my fucking theory, im losing my mind so someone who has read all the books please prove me wrong:
1- lestat says having the blood of magnus saves him from the fire.
2- in this universe vampires are only killed by fire and sun right? is there a reason thats the only two? because they're connected, they're one in the same.
so fire = sun = immunity to the sun
walk with me now lestat is immune to the fire and sun like armand is immune to the fire and sun, because they are both directly turned by ancient vampires (magnus and marius)
MY THEORY is that the further you are from ancient vampire in your bloodline the less immune you become to the sun/fire (so those closer to the ancient ones are more likely to be immune) so that means (in my head) that louis and claudia who have only ONE person between them and a powerful ancient vampire like magnus (and who are the descendants of akasha) are immune to fire and sun.
but you're probably thinking "but we literally see them burn in the sun MULTIPLE times" and guess what, lestat says "and i have to be willing [for the fire to consume me]" and every time we see claudia and louis get hurt by the sun is whenever they willingly go into it.
so what does that mean? sadly im conflicted by where my theory leads me because it means that claudia couldve been immune to the sun and she went willingly (her lover was dying in her arms, she had no clue what they did with her father, her other father is testifying against her, she had no will to live on.)
#And he was right!!!
INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (2022 - ) I 2.08
you will regret this for the rest of your life
On this Father's Day, I would like to acknowledge how much I love Daniel "My Daughters Aren't Speaking to Me" Molloy for being the only person reading Claudia's diaries and remaining firmly on her side, clearly while thinking "Look, I'm not gonna win any awards for Father of the Year, but JESUS CHRIST"
