I like to think that Todd and Neil never actually dated just loved each other in a quiet intimate way nether of them could fully understand but that transcended any word for love that they or we will ever know.
it's so funny that one day mr Keating tells the class that language was created "to woo women" and another day Todd improvises a poem using Walt Whitman as inspiration and Neil is left completely awestruck with hearts jumping from his eyes, my baby is no woman but he was wooed enough that's for sure
please. please. stop saying todd is a canon alcoholic. no, he is not.

it maybe implies that he drank alcohol before. it maybe implies that he is used to the taste of alcohol and not bothered by it. or! this is actually his first time drinking and he just takes it a lot better than the others. this passage could mean absolutely nothing for all it's worth
or it can be interpreted in a number of ways. maybe he already drank before at his old school. maybe he snuck a drink from his parents alcohol. not coughing when drinking alcohol only means he knows and expects the taste. it does not, as far as i am aware, imply that he drinks heavily and has a dependency on alcohol.
also: people who drink often aren't automatically alcoholics!!! it doesn't work like that. Wikipedia says symptoms of alcoholism are: "Drinking large amounts of alcohol over a long period, difficulty cutting down, acquiring and drinking alcohol taking up a lot of time, usage resulting in problems, withdrawal occurring when stopping." It isn't very clear cut obviously which is why many people are in denial about their alcohol disorders. But i think it's VERY obvious this doesn't fit todd at all. Words have meaning. Do not use the term "alcoholism" lightly.
if you want to make jokes or headcanons please go wild! write fanfiction i love to see it!! but do not act as if he has a CANON alcohol problem because it was implied that he drank alcohol before in the fucking BOOK

"Don't you think its a bit more complicated than that?" Todd asked. His eyes were fixated on the paper in his hands. Neil sighed and streched his arms above his head.
The two had been studying all day in their little dorm room. Neil at his desk, Todd with a book on his bed. After a while they got frustrated about History and took a break.
"Well," Neil said and pushed back his chair to turn and look at Todd. "Have you ever-" he cut himself off and gasped.
Todd looked up at him, curious what had gotten his attention. His eyes found Neil pointing outside, smiling and jumping up from his seat.
"Todd! Look!!" he exclaimed, stumbling to the window. Todd strained his neck to see what had gotten his friend's attention, but from where he sat on his bed he couldn't see out at all.
Todd smiled and decided to stay put for now, more captivated by Neil's excitement than the reason for it.
Neil's face bumped gently into the glass as he looked out, his hands pressing against the window. He stood there quietly for a moment. The bright light framed his face in cool colors. Todd just looked at him.
"Snow.." Neil wispered.
Todd set his book aside and got up to stand next to Neil. Now he saw it too. The ground and roof of Welton Academy were covered in a glowing white cloak, snowflakes falling heavy from an overcast sky.
"Snow!" Neil shouted, turning to Todd and looking at him like a puppy. His face was right next to Todd's and their shoulders were touching. Instead of saying anything Todd just laughed and looked at his hands, startled by their sudden closeness. Neil didn't seem to notice. A few seconds later he was already walking away from the window again.
Neil plunged down on the floor and grabbed his boots, putting them on at lightning speed.
"Are you gonna go outside?" Todd asked raising his eyebrows. Neil stopped tieing his left boot to look directly at Todd. "No," he said with a serious face, "We are going out!"
Todd laughed and shook his head. "Have you never seen snow before?" he asked while putting on his coat.

Todd closed the door to their room behind them and took three steps across the hall to knock on Charlie and Cameron's room.
Neil was already skipping down the corridor. He only turned around once he noticed Todd wasn't right behind him.
"Come on, what are you waiting for?" he asked loudly, standing at the end of the hall.
Todd gestured at the door and knocked again. "Charlie and Cam aren't answering," he said.
"I guess they're in the library. What do you want from them?" Neil asked simply with a bright smile.
Todd was confused. "Well, I thought if we're going outside, why not ask the others to join us?"
Neil laughed. "Forget the others!!" he shouted and ran back to Todd, almost crashing into him in the process. "Lets go! The snow is already melting Anderson!!"
Just like that he grabbed Todd's wrist and dragged him down the hall. They stumbled a bit and Todd laughed because he was suprised by Neil's warm hand. They were skipping steps in their decent down the stairs and the building seemed so quiet and empty suddenly. They laughed and bickered but most of all they payed no mind to who they might bother with their loud excitement.

Neil turned his face up towards the light gray sky and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath. His hair was messy and his red cheeks were getting sprinkled by slowly decending snowflakes.
Todd just stared at him. He stood a step behind Neil, eyes fixated on the other boy. Why can't it always be like this, he asked himself. Todd's breathing was still agitated from running and he felt his heart beating heavy in his throat. He wanted to say something funny, something about the snow and Neil being a child, but he couldn't find the words.
Neil breathed out, making clouds in the freezing air. He opened his eyes again and smiled at the sky. Not the cheeky smile from before, no. Now he seemed lost in thought, almost melancholic.
"So beautiful," Neil noticed, looking onto the frozen lake. Everything was white and no one else was in sight. All the glistening snow before them was yet untouched.
They stood there quietly for a moment. Todd was glad they were alone now. Just a moment of calm between them. Nobody else. Just them. And the snow.
Neil turned, as if he was worried that Todd hadn't heard him. He locked eyes with him and said, with a smile this time: "So.. Beautiful."
Seconds passed. If it weren't for the falling snow, Todd might have asked himself if time had stopped all together. Then Neil turned away again.
Todd felt strange and his heart was still pounding. He forced himself to look anyplace that wasn't Neil's face.
"Yes," was all he managed to say, nearly choking on that little word.
And what if I said that Neil was so ambitious to include Todd was because he used to be just like Todd. Mr perry continuously shut him up and made him feel unworthy of love and attention to the point that Neil thought everything inside of him was worthless and embarrassing and stopped speaking until he met Charlie who made him come out of his shell and made him feel like he was worth something for the first time and that's what Neil was trying to do to Todd because he knows what it feels like.
pitts rests the thick-lensed glasses on his nose. "jesus, you're like totally blind," he laughs, before sitting up straight. he juts his chin forward, glancing skyward, and poses with his hands on his hips. "well, how do i look?" he asks, more to the ceiling than to the boy beside him on the bed. meeks squints, laughs, makes to snatch his glasses back.
he can see it well enough: the dazzling smile, eyes magnified and sparkling with mischief, but all he says is, "blurry, you dummy, really blurry," as he reaches for pitts' face. pitts laughs and shuffles to the other end of the bed, effectively holding the glasses hostage.
meeks doesn't even mind the thievery, evidenced now by a halfhearted attempt to clamber over and retrieve his specs. after all, there's no doubt in his mind that pitts looks adorable with his newest (albeit stolen) accessory- he just wants to be able to see the taller boy's sunshine-smile clearly again. can you blame a guy?

We agree that Charlie wanted to go to Chet's party too right? And that he was hurt when Knox didn't even consider asking him? Sneaking out to a party is SUCH a Charlie thing to do. Chris even asks if he brought anyone! You could have brought a friend Knox! What is wrong with you. It's a party. Not a date.
Once Knox leaves for the party Charlie goes out, meets Tina and Gloria, switches to mega flirt mode and is more obnoxious than ever to overcompensate for his lack of party that night. Just to prove to himself he can have a great time without Knox and also he doesn't even want to go to that STUPID party anyway >:( and NO he is NOT jealous of that Chris girl AT ALL
