Golden Trio Era: Luna Lovegood

During your fifth year, you along with Harry, Hermione and Ginny were invited along to Professor Slughorn’s Christmas Party. You hated the idea of having to bring a date, that somehow not having a romantic date to a party made you any lesser of a person or an academic, so almost in protest, you decided to take yourself to the Christmas Party. 

Professor Slughorn had invited a lot of interesting people to the Christmas Party; including vampires, professional Quidditch players and members of the Ministry of Magic. But when Luna Lovegood walked into Slughorn’s office, accompanied by Harry, you couldn’t take your eyes off her. She was wearing a gorgeous, shimmery pink dress, with her hair tied back which set off her bluey-silver eyes. Harry was quickly dragged away by Professor Slughorn and you took the opportunity to approach Luna while she was unoccupied. 

“Your dress is beautiful Luna! Did you make it yourself?” You asked as you crossed the room to talk to her. 

She lit up at the compliment and in turn told you that you looked beautiful. While you were conversing you heard a couple of people behind you muttering about the presence of ‘Loopy Loony Lovegood’.

Turning around you glared at Cormac McLaggen who was the one making the snide remarks and said, “Luna is ten times the person you will ever be Cormac, and because you are such a know it all you should know when to shut the hell up.” 

Everyone at the party stopped talking to stare at you. Cormac went red in the face. People started whispering about you and Slughorn came over and told you that maybe you should take a walk outside to clear your head, which you could tell was just an excuse to ask you to leave. 

Luna followed you outside, wanting to thank you for standing up to Cormac, who had been calling her stupid names for the last four years. You stopped in one of the corridors adjacent to the Entrance Hall, where mistletoe was hung over the doorway. Both of you looked up at the mistletoe then back at each other.

“Can I kiss you?” You asked, taking a hesitant step toward her.

She met you halfway and cupped your face, pulling you down to her, your hands finding their way to her waist. You spent the rest of the night walking around the grounds, hand in hand, enjoying the company of each other rather than all the stuck up elitists who had been invited to the Christmas Party.

Marauders Era: Sirius Black

Hogsmeade trips were some of your favourite days of the year, it was a time to get out of Hogwarts and explore a purely magical town. Coming from a muggle family you wanted to take any opportunity you could to immerse yourself within wizarding culture. 

During your sixth year you ended up going to Hogsmeade by yourself as the novelty of the town had worn off for your friends. You thought you would never get sick of spending time there. And on that day in sixth year your speculation was proven right.

You were in Honeydukes wanting to get some jelly slugs, sugar quills and chocolate cauldrons to send back to your family for Halloween but the chocolate cauldrons were on one of the top shelves and out of your reach. You looked around to see where the owners of the shop were, to see if they could help you, but both of them were behind the counter selling items to the dozens of other customers.

“Need some help there?” You heard a deep voice from behind you say as you stood on your tiptoes, reaching up with your right hand.

Turning around you saw that the owner of the voice was none other than Sirius Black. He was standing there, hands on hips, smirking. You nodded to him, and with the ease of blinking he stepped forward and grabbed two chocolate cauldrons (which were just above eye level for him) and handed it to you. 

“Thank you.” You said as you placed it in your basket, flashing a smile but then turning to head towards the counter.

“Would you like to grab a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks with me?” He asked just before you stepped away.

“If you make that a hot chocolate you can count me in.” You said turning back around in time to watch his cheeks blush pink.

After you purchased your items from Honeydukes you and Sirius walked side by side to the Three Broomsticks, you having to take two steps for every one he took. Once in the pub you ordered your drinks and sat down at the table next to the fireplace. It was a little awkward at first, because before today you had barely spoken two words to Sirius, but as you spent more time with him you opened up more, and ended up with you making out with him in the alleyway beside the pub when you had both finished your drinks.

I love to play soccer and on the leading team in my city. I'm pretty social, and on many clubs in my school. , I still suffer from anxiety. I get cold very easily, so I love hoodies. Marauders Era: James Potter

End of fifth year at Hogwarts was one of the most stressful times of your life. O.W.L exams were in less than a week, and no matter how much you studied, nor for how long, you still did not feel prepared. In less than a week you would have your first exam, Charms, and every day after that another subjects exam. The thought of them made your hands shake. 

You were studying Potions, your head spinning around how to brew a Strengthening Solution, in the Gryffindor common room when you could feel your airways tighten, your hands shaking, and your feet went numb. James Potter, sixth year known bad boy, who was studying next to you, noticed your gasps for air and sat down next to you on the floor to help. 

“Spread your legs wider - yes like that, and put your head in between them, and take slow, deep breaths.” He instructed, holding your hand and rubbing his thumb over your knuckles soothingly. 

He had done well not to draw any attention to you whilst you were in the corner of the common room, surrounded by other studying Gryffindors. After a few minutes of rhythmically breathing along with him and holding tightly onto his hand, you felt yourself start to relax. 

“You feeling better?” He asked, and you nodded, suddenly nervous around the very attractive, very kind James Potter. “You feel freezing, here, put this on.” He said, taking off the maroon cardigan he was wearing and offering it to you.

The cardigan was quite large on you, but it was comfy and warm and it made you feel safe. You felt comfortable around him even though you had never spoken a word to him before tonight. He asked about what had made you feel anxious, and you told him that the upcoming exams were paralysing. 

The next morning James personally escorted you to Professor McGonagall’s office for you to talk to her about the exams, because in his own words, “exams should never make anyone so anxious that they have a panic attack.” McGonagall made special arrangements for you, including seeing a therapist, but also allowing you to take your exams in a separate room so that you didn’t become overwhelmed by the amount of people in the same room with you. 

You passed your exams with flying colours, and the first thing you did when you found out was rush to find James to thank him for everything that he had done for you over the past month. When he heard the news he hugged you tightly before pulling you in for a heated kiss. 

Golden Trio Era: Charlie Weasley

Charlie Weasley was your quidditch captain, your prefect and your best friend. That’s what you were trying to focus on as the Gryffindor Quidditch team were getting ready for the first game of the year against Slytherin. Charlie was changing into his Quidditch robes and you couldn’t take your eyes off of his chiselled chest as he took off his shirt. 

You tried to focus on the game at hand and not the thought of Charlie without a shirt on as you sped around on your broom, passing the quaffle to your teammates whilst also dodging bludgers. The last thing you remember before your vision went black was watching Charlie speed along on his broom, arm outstretched as he followed the golden snitch.

You woke up what seemed like seconds later (in reality it had been a couple hours) to the furrowed brow of a worried Charlie Weasley sitting on the end of your bed in the hospital wing. You had taken a bludger to the head just as Charlie had caught the snitch to end the game. 

“How are you feeling?” Charlie asked with a highly concerned tone as Madam Pomfrey checked you over.

After assessing that you simply had a concussion she let you rest, with the promise that you would spend the night in the ward to make sure you were alright. Charlie refused to go back to his dormitory without you, so Madam Pomfrey, not wanting to get Professor McGonagall involved, let him use the bed next to yours.

The next morning you were let out of the ward and you headed down to breakfast with Charlie. He looked as though he has something on his mind all morning. 

“I didn’t want to bring this up yesterday because you were hurt, but you looked a little distracted out there, on the pitch yesterday. Are you sure everything’s alright?.” Charlie asked, later that day.

There had been something on your mind, but you didn’t want Charlie to know because he had been the distraction. He had always been a distraction for you. In class, during practice, at games. He occupied most of your conscious and unconscious thought. 

There weren’t too many more practice sessions and games that went by before Charlie noticed your stares. But the good thing was, he didn’t mind them. In fact, there were a few times you caught him staring too.

Marauders Era: Remus Lupin

Remus was in the same year level as yourself, but with him being a Gryffindor and you only sharing one class. From what you understood he was a kind boy who liked to read and prank fellow students but occasionally went missing from class for a few days in a row. 

At the start of your fifth year you were appointed prefect of Hufflepuff house and Remus of Gryffindor, which meant that you would frequently bump into him during patrol of the castle, and when the heads of houses would call meetings. But more than ever you noticed how there was a pattern to when he disappeared. 

One night when you were on patrol you noticed a few shadowy figures making their way down the entrance hall, towards the exit of the castle. Following with your wand out you gained on them and realised that what you had noticed were four students. 

“Stop right there, you know students aren’t meant to be out of bed at this time.” You warned, wand clenched tightly in your hand, halting them in their tracks. 

When they turned around you weren’t awfully surprised to see the faces of James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew, however you were disappointed that Remus (looking a little worse for wear) was with them. 

“Please, I know more than anyone that students aren’t meant to be up, but believe me we have a very special reason that I’d be happy to share with you some other time.” There was something in his voice that made you want to believe him, even though you highly suspected that they were up to something mischievous. 

You carefully considered Remus’ eyes. You so desperately wanted to believe him, but breaking rules was not your strong suit, and if you were caught letting students sneak out of the castle you could be expelled. 

“Alright, but you better swear to me that you’re not up to something or I will have your asses in detention every night for the rest of your time here.” You threatened and Remus gave you his word before they headed towards the whomping willow. 

A week later when Remus had returned to classes and prefect duties he caught up with you to thank you for what you had done that night, but also provide you with an explanation. You were only the fourth student at Hogwarts to know his secret, which only brought you closer, and by the start of sixth year you were his girlfriend. 

Next Generation Era: Louis Weasley

About the only student in Hogwarts that enjoyed reading the books in the library as much as you did was Louis Weasley. Most days you would pass him either sitting by himself on the floor in one of the aisles or at a table in the library. You thought he was rather cute, biting his lip, furrowing his brow in concentration as his eyes scanned the pages. 

One rainy Sunday when most of the other students were hanging out in house common rooms or flying around, practising on the quidditch pitch, you were down on the first floor in the Library, reading up on the uses of Runespoor fangs when someone placed a pile of books on your table. Looking up you noticed the blonde hair and blue eyes as belonging to Louis Weasley.

“Do you mind if I sit here?” Louis asked, and you shook your head, indicating for him to sit down, although you weren’t sure why he didn’t want to sit at the numerous empty tables adjacent you. “I’m Louis by the way.”

The conversation was a little awkward at first, him stumbling over words, you unable to maintain eye contact as you could feel the temperature in your cheeks increase every time you looked at his face. But after finding your mutual love for fantasy books, baking and Care of Magical Creatures the conversation flowed easily from there. 

He was your first crush. You didn’t fall for people easily, you were more interested in getting good grades than sussing out your dating pool, but he was different, he didn’t care about being popular, or being on the Quidditch team like most other boys at Hogwarts, he wanted to read up on all the different types of magical creatures to ever exist and try to brew difficult potions in between classes. 

After months of spending time with him in class and in the library most days, he had convinced you to go for a walk with him by the black lake the Friday before exams started to try and clear your head and calm your anxieties. It was on this walk where he first held your hand, first kissed you and first asked you to be his girlfriend.

Golden Trio Era: Viktor Krum

You were just as excited as everyone else at Hogwarts when it was announced that you would be hosting the TriWizard Tournament. You had never met a wizard from another country before, so the promise of meeting students your own age from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang was thrilling.

You watched as the Beauxbatons students in blue arrived, followed by Durmstrang in deep red. As the foreign students walked into the Entrance Hall, a tall, slender boy, about the same age as you, dressed in Durmstrang colours walked past you, flashing you a smile.

“It’s Viktor Krum.” You heard a red haired boy a couple years below you stammer. “The Bulgarian seeker.”

You hadn’t been able to attend the Quidditch World Cup, as much as you had wanted to, but as soon as you heard the name you knew exactly who he was.

“You play very good.” Viktor complimented one afternoon as you were practicing your violin in a spare classroom.

You weren’t quite sure how he had found you practicing all the way in an unused classroom on the sixth floor, but he seemed kind and gentle, unlike out on the Quidditch pitch, so you didn’t mind him intruding.

“Thank you, I could say the same about your Quidditch skills.” You smiled, removing the instrument from under your chin.

He enjoyed listening to you play while he studied for the tasks. He said that it calmed him, and you didn’t mind playing for an audience that appreciated your work, your skills for something that wasn’t magical.

You were the thing he would miss most in the second task, having spent so much time over the past couple months together, studying, teaching him the violin, or him teaching you some moves on a broom.

But time flew too quickly, before you knew it the year was over, he was going back to Bulgaria before you had a real chance to build this friendship into something more. But he promised that he would write, and now that he was old enough to Apparate, you were only a second away whenever he wanted to see you.

Marauders Era: Frank Longbottom

“You’re Jessie’s girl.” Frank almost screamed at you.

You were so confused, Jessie’s girl, you didn’t know a Jessie, except Jessica Gale who was a Gryffindor a couple years below you. What on Earth did he mean?

“Sorry, what?” You asked as Franks cheeks flushed bright red.

“You know, Jessie’s girl… Jessie is a friend, you know, I wish that I had Jessie’s girl.” He sung to a tune that immediately jogged your memory. “You’re Jessie’s girl, because, well you know, you’re with someone else, but I wish that I had you…” He trailed off.

You and Frank had been friends for the longest of time, you lived in the same village growing up where you were the only wizarding families. He had been your everything, your best friend, your shoulder to cry on.

You thought he’d be the one, and you’d have the perfect love story where you were two kids who grew up together and fell in love. But in fourth year he showed interest in his fellow Gryffindor Clara Heavendew and so you knew he didn’t feel the same way, or at least that’s what you thought.

And so thinking he didn’t have any interest in you, you tried to move on with someone else. Wendell Garrickson, Frank’s dorm mate. He had always seemed to fancy you, so when he asked you on a date, you said yes, and that turned into a relationship.

But when you looked at Frank, standing there in front of you, his bright brown eyes sad, his cheeks flushed, fingers dancing nervously, all those feelings came rushing back. You hadn’t moved on, you were just ignoring all those feelings, pushing them to the side.

You looked into his eyes, and you felt butterflies in your stomach, but there was a flame that was lit within you, something you had only felt when you were with Frank.

“You know I’ve never been good with words, so I’ll just say this. I love you, I’ve loved you since I can remember, and I would absolutely love to kiss you right now, but I really should talk to Wendell first, stay right here.” You say quickly, flashing him a smile and running off.

You had been in a relationship with Wendell for over 4 months, and he deserved to know how you felt before you started making out with other boys.

Ten minutes later you rushed back to where you left him, and Frank was still there, hands in his pockets. You ran up to him, leapt into his arms and planted a long awaited kiss on his lips.

Next Generation Era: Albus Potter

The first time you noticed Albus was during the first flying class of first year. The Hufflepuffs and Slytherins shared the class and the two people who excelled were Albus and yourself. He took a liking to you immediately, you were the only one who rivalled is ability on a broom.

“You trying out for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team?” He asked you after your second flying lesson of the year.

Albus had never spoken to you before, you had watched him confidently fly around in class, helping others on their brooms, but you had always watched the son of the famous Harry Potter from afar,

“Well, I might, but I’ve heard that first years never get into the teams. You?” You asked nervously.

“Well, my dad managed to be seeker in his first year, so why not me, why not us?” He flashed you a smile, “You’re a good enough flyer.”

It was his comments about your flying skills that gave you the confidence to try out for the team, you didn’t get in, and neither did he. But you would have never have put yourself out there like that if he hadn’t suggested it. After that you made sure your practiced every chance you got, you would make it into the team next year.

Albus started joining you for practice on the weekends, you’d be the keeper while he’d be the chaser, trying to get the quaffle past you. You’d have so much fun, just the two of you, getting to know each other.

You both made your house teams the following year. Then in sixth year, he was made captain, after his brother had finished at Hogwarts. So much had happened since then, your feelings had grown immensely for him, you felt like he was the only person who understood you, your monumental love for Quidditch. That day, after he found out the news, he rushed to be with you, you were the first and only person he wanted to tell.

He spun you around in a hug, lifting you off the ground. In a rush of adrenaline he crashed his lips onto yours, for a second you were startled, but you settled into the kiss, having wanting this for more than five years.

Marauders Era: Dorcas Meadowes

“Dorrie, I swear, you are too heroic for your own good.” You hadn’t intended on arguing with her, there was a war going on after all, but she was too reckless, fearless.

“Well someone’s got to be.” Was her retort.

You knew she was trying to provoke a response out of you, just the other day it seemed you were having this conversation.

She was the daring Gryffindor, you were the strategic and clever Ravenclaw. Bravery had never been one of your strong suits, but planning had never been one of hers, and to win this war you were going to need both of them.

“You can be impossible sometimes Dorcas!” You half yelled.

“I can be impossible, have you tried looking in the mirror lately.” She called as you tried to walk away from the argument, confrontation wasn’t something you enjoyed.

Ever since joining the Order, living with Dorcas and spending just about every second of every day together, you had slowly but surely developed feelings for her. You weren’t sure if it was purely because you felt the need for comfort during such difficult times or because you really loved her, but you knew you hadn’t felt like this about someone else before.

“I’m only worried because I care about you, I don’t want to see you recklessly running into a battle with You-Know-Who and getting yourself killed!” You turned again to face her, feeling a sting of tears behind your eyes.

“I care about you too, I’m sorry for what I said, we all have our strengths. Without your intel and planning, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do out in the field.” She gave you a soft smile, you knew she never liked to concede that she was being too tough on you.

Without even thinking you took a step toward Dorcas and, cupping her face, brought her face closer to yours, gently pressing your lips to hers. It was the middle of a war, this was not the time for frivolities, you thought to yourself. But she wasn’t pulling away, instead her hands had found their way down to your hips, pulling your pelvis closer to hers so that there was absolutely no space between the two of you.

Marauders Era: Peter Pettigrew

“Give me Harry Potter” Quinton Talbot demanded, holding a wand to your head, Peter, Sirius and Dorcas watching on, each of their wands pointed at Talbot.

You were on a mission for the Order. James and Lily had just gone into hiding with Harry, but that didn’t stop the rest of you trying to fight the increasing numbers of Death Eaters.

“You will never get your hands on any of the Potters.” Dorcas said as beside her Sirius’ eyes had filled with rage at the mention of Harry, his godson.

“It’s either Potter’s life or hers.” He said, pressing his wand harder into your temple.

Peter looked at you from where he was standing next to Dorcas. This was not how you had planned the mission to go. With Peter being the Potter’s secret keeper he was meant to go into hiding when James and Lily did, but he had refused to let you go on this assignment without him.

Talbot’s grip on you was tight, you could feel his nails digging into your skin and blood trickling slowly from the wounds.

“You hurt her, you die.” Peter warned fiercely.

Talbot laughed.

“You think you can hurt me, delinquent?” He chuckled.

You and Peter had been at Hogwarts together, but it wasn’t until the two of you had seen each other at Oder meetings did you really get to know him. Peter was sensitive, kind but brave and quietly clever. You knew he wouldn’t have taken being called a delinquent lightly.

As Talbot was slightly distracted, amused at Peter’s threat to hurt him, you pulled away from his grasp, and before either Dorcas or Sirius, both of whom were very skilled with a wand, had a chance to move, Peter had cast the blasting curse, confringo, at Talbot.

The force of the curse sent you flying, hitting the ground with a large thud. When you woke, your head was spinning, your body in pain, but you could tell you were lying in Peters lap, his gentle hand stroking your hair.

“He can’t hurt you now, he can’t hurt anyone ever again. I won’t let anyone hurt you ever again.” Peter whispered into your ear as he helped you to your feet, giving you a gentle kiss on your cheek before helping you limp over to where Sirius and Dorcas were standing, still looking stunned at what Peter had just done.

Golden Trio Era: Ron Weasley

“Red hair and a hand-me-down robe, you must be a Weasley.” A blonde boy with a pointed face said to you just as you and the other first years were waiting to enter the Great Hall for your sorting.

“What on earth are you talking about?” You looked at him extremely puzzled. “What’s a Weasley?”

“That’d be me.” A tall red haired boy with freckles standing on the opposite side of Harry Potter nervously said before you were all called into the Great Hall.

Harry, Ron and yourself got sorted into Gryffindor that night and since then were the best of friends. You were jokingly known as the ‘the other Weasley’ or ‘Ron’s twin’ by most of the Gryffindors or even as ‘little sis’ by Fred and George. This annoyed Malfoy to no end, so you put up with it. But being referred to as Ron’s sister wasn’t the most pleasant greeting, each time you heard the welcoming it only reminded you that you were thought of more as his sister than something more.

Then in sixth year after the Gryffindor versus Slytherin Quidditch game, which Gryffindor won by ten points, he swooped you off your feet, spinning you around in a hug before placing your feet back on the ground.

“We won! I can’t believe I saved that last goal that won us the game. I couldn’t have gone out there without your support this morning.” He smiled, leaning down and kissing your lips.

Everyone was staring. Seamus whistled. After a second everyone went back to partying and completely forgot about what happened, but you didn’t

But before you had time to talk to him about what happened, what it meant, the war began, and you were hunting for horcruxes with him, and it wasn’t the time to talk about feelings.

Then, once the war had been won, once you and Ron had both come out of it alive, you proclaimed your love for each other.

From then on, nobody dared refer to you as Ron’s twin or a Weasley sibling. The only time you heard it was on your wedding day.

“Well, it looks like Fred and I were right all along, you are going to be our little sister. You look stunning by the way, I bet Ron’s gonna cry!” George smirked at you before heading out to join the rest of his family in waiting for you to walk down the aisle.

Marauders Era: Remus Lupin

Remus looked like he was about to cry, looking away from you he wiped his arm over his face to catch the falling tears. You couldn’t imagine the bravery it took for him to tell you this. He was a werewolf, an actual werewolf. But as much as werewolves were romanticised in books and movies, the real thing was much, much worse.

Scars covered almost every inch of his visible body, now you understood why he wore jeans and sweaters even in the summer, he didn’t want people to see how traumatised every part of him was.

There was a silence between the two of you, you wanted to say something, anything, but nothing felt like it was good enough for him, nothing felt as though it could comfort him.

“You don’t have to stay.” He said, sitting down on the bed.

The shrieking shack made a lot more sense now too, and as comfortable as it looked, you were sure Remus only ever associated horrible transformations with this place. You looked down at his lanky body, fresh wounds covered old scars, his hands were trembling.

“I’m a monster.” He clenched his hands into fists, silent tears running down his cheeks.

You walked over to him, sitting down and taking his hands in yours.

“You are not a monster, you are the bravest, kindest, smartest person I know Rem. This does not define who you are. You are still that same boy who let me borrow his sweater after being saturated by all those water bombs Peeves and Sirius let go during the first lesson of Charms in second year. There is not a single part of your soul that is monstrous.” You said, kissing the healing wounds on his knuckles.

He laid down on the bed and sighed. You fell back with him, your arms instinctively wrapping around him, wanting to give him all the love and support you could. You laid there, next to one another for hours, not talking about anything in particular, you just wanted to be with him, and you knew, at least for tonight he would be safe in your arms.

Golden Trio Era: George Weasley

“Would you go the fuck away Weasley, I’m trying to study here.” You flipped him off with one hand as you continued to write your transfiguration essay with the other.

George Weasley loved to badger you (note the pun). He knew any time you got riled up over anything you would start to swear, and he always found it amusing how a tiny little nerdy Hufflepuff could have such a dirty mouth.

“I’m serious George, fuck off.” But as often as you said those five words, he never did leave you alone.

The Weasley twins were good friends of yours, but there had always been something about George that attracted you to him more, something you couldn’t quite put your finger on. They looked almost identical, yet their personalities differed in so many ways. With Fred you simply had a friendship, yet with George there was so much more.

“Language.” Fred said as he passed you and George sitting at the end of the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall.

“I swear to Merlin, Weasley, I will shove this quill up your ass if you don’t shut the fuck up.” You said a little too loudly and everyone in the Great Hall, including Professor McGonagall and Snape looked over to you.

You mumbled a quick sorry and put your head down to work, ignoring all the snickers of laughter.

“Merlin, I love you.” George said from beside you, and then a second later his expression changed to one of horror, as if he only just heard what he himself had said.

You watched as his face went nearly as red as his hair.

“I mean…” He started, nervously running his hand through his hair.

You watched as he stumbled for words, finding how awkward he was extremely attractive.

“I love you too George.” You said giving him a small kiss on the cheek, and taking his hand in yours, intertwining your fingers, underneath the table as you continued with your transfiguration essay.

Marauders Era: James Potter

James Potter was one of your best friends as well as being the biggest dork at Hogwarts. He was also the most arrogant, overconfident, obnoxious person to roam the castle. But you had fallen completely head over heels in love with him.

You couldn’t even see the back of his head without getting butterflies zooming around your stomach. Seeing his face was a whole ‘nother thing in itself. He made you weak at the knees, he took your breath away, but you had never been able to build up the nerve to tell him that, he was the courageous Gryffindor, not you.

Late night you were strolling the grounds, trying to clear your head from all the studying you had been doing that day. It was a beautiful night, not a cloud in the sky to hide the full moon which lit the school grounds.

As you neared the Entrance Hall, you saw the silhouette of four people quickly ducking behind the greenhouses. At first you didn’t take any notice of it, just some other people trying to get away from the nervousness of the exams but then, as you got closer, you could hear the faint whispers of familiar voices.

“James?” You questioned poking your head around the corner of Greenhouse 4.

You saw four boys, the tallest one, Remus, looking very pale and sickly.

“You need to get out of here.” James said urgently.

Puzzled you ignored his warning, stepping closer and asking if Remus was alright. As the light of the full moon shone through the windows of the greenhouse, you saw something terrifying. Remus, within a matter of seconds, during bellowing screams, turned  into a wolf. You screamed, turning to run as he leaped in front of you.

The next thing you knew you were waking up in the hospital wing, a friendly face sitting at the edge of your bed, holding your hand.

“Thank Merlin you’re alright.” James said as you flickered your eyes open, squeezing your hand tighter. “I don’t know what I would have done with myself if anything worse were to have happened.”

He sat by your side, didn’t even go down to the Great Hall for meals, until you were well enough to be discharged. He told you all about Remus being a werewolf, and what he did to help him, which only made you fall in love with him even more. It wasn’t very long until you were joining them on their monthly quests, as James’ girlfriend.

Golden Trio Era: Cedric Diggory

You watched as Cedric walked into the Great Hall, fitted out for the Yule Ball, with Cho. Cho was a friend, a fellow Ravenclaw, but when she had told you that Cedric had asked her to the Ball, you could not bring yourself to be happy for her. She was nice, and funny, and very intelligent, everything that Cedric deserved in a girl. Except that girl wasn’t you.

You had been friends with Cedric since first year. You learnt to ride a broom together, you had been there when he had been made Quidditch captain, you had been there from the beginning, through everything, and now, she was the one celebrating with him when he had become a TriWizard Champion.

But, who he took was his choice, and if Cho made him happy you were going to have to try and accept that, as much as it crushed your heart every time you thought about it.

He looked handsome, walking into the Ball, in his dress robes. His dark blue robes complementing his eyes. He flashed you a quick smile as the music started playing, then his attention turned to Cho, who he started dancing with.

Later that night, you caught up with Cedric, Cho nowhere to be found. You were sitting near the corner farthest from the dance floor, waiting for your date to come back with drinks.

“How’s your night going?” You asked, not wanting to directly mention Cho’s name, knowing it would hurt your heart more.

“Cho’s over there in a deep conversation with Harry.” He simply said, no hint of emotion in his words.

The lights were so dim in the corner of the hall that, even sitting next to him, you could not read his expression. You couldn’t tell if this pained him beyond belief, like it pained you to hear her name come from his lips, or if he was completely fine with it.

“I told her to. I think she really likes him. Besides, asking her to the Ball was a mistake. I only asked her because I didn’t think the person I really wanted to go with would say yes, and that’s not fair to her.” He looked down at his hands, fidgeting nervously.

“Who did you really want to go with?”

“You.” With the loud music playing this was almost inaudible.

You turned to him, and even with the dim lights, you could see the vulnerability in his bright eyes.You stood up and extended a hand.

“Would you do me the honor?” You asked as he accepted, pulling you close and danced with your head resting on his strong chest.
