Sooo this is a straight up scam. Dude acted like he was really intent on booking me asap then when he found out it was cash upfront he immediately backed out

In Australia, scammers have figured out how to reverse PayID payments - apparently they claim it was an online purchase that didn't pan out and the banks just buy this. It's been going around Facebook marketplace and now they're doing it to sex workers. It appears that he intended to book me then reverse the transaction or otherwise fake it, but it could be some other scam too

Some states in Australia (I believe NSW) are now correctly treating this - violating the conditions of a sex workers consent - as rape and actually prosecuting it

So firstly, obviously you unfortunately have to be extremely wary of any and all payments methods - even cash can be faked (you can buy it in the darkweb). PayPal has a "send to friends or family" option but they can still turn around and report your hooker ass after the fact. Ko-fi claims to be a NSFW platform and charges fees like one but watch what you actually post on their forum, and be sure to add their fees to the price you charge your client. A $150 job became a $140 job because Kofi took their helping

I may not be able to pass a fitness test at all now and so this could be the end of my apprenticeship before it even begins. This treatment I need isn't covered by Medicare. I already had to use all my savings from 8 months ago on medical expenses instead (and still couldn't fix my teeth!!) and now I'm right back here looking at the very real possibility that being a prostitute is the only job I'll ever be able to have because of yet another mobility related disability

This is so fucked I don't know what to do. Maybe if I can pay for good enough treatment I can pass the fitness test and still do my apprenticeship? I don't know, please help me.
