Cockroach? What about cuntroach. #feminism
people with siblings have you ever in your life called ur sibling bro or sis bc i have not and i just imagined myself doing it and gagged. it would feel so weird
id rather you have cringy but honest interests than try and act like everything youve ever loved was in an ironic way cause you think that love for simple or useless or silly things is beneath you . pathetic! embrace existence with both hands coward
I don't mean this in a dismissive "haha you've got daddy issues" way but I really am coming to suspect that most if not all people who view the opposite sex as like, fundamentally alien on a mental or emotional level really just do not have healthy family relationships. You see it with the weird Trad and Alpha Male guys who can't seem to conceive of women as fully-aware human beings instead of some sort of symbiotes who need men to guide them, you see it with the weird radfems who like to go on about men being incable of feeling real emotion and just being driven by instinct and needing to be ruled over like dogs. I just find it really difficult to imagine arriving at those worldviews if you ever had a mutually caring and respectful relationship with an opposite-sex parent or sibling.
i’ve had radfems go off on me for talking about my relationship with my dad. things are more complicated now after i came out, but when i was a baby he stayed home with me and worked part time so my mom could work full time, he was never weird about my periods and didn’t use weird euphemisms (he would just say “are you cramping? do you need tylenol? need me to buy you some tampons?”), taught me the basics of sex ed since my conservative school wasn’t going to do that, was very understanding and supportive for the most part when i would talk to him about personal problems (when i left a shitty relationship at the end of high school he was the first person i told and i cried on his shoulder for like half an hour), when his best friend/my godfather died he didn’t hide his tears.
there were many things i wish he’d done differently, but there were many things he did right, and so many people get legitimately angry when i try to talk about it. people have even accused me of “trying to make excuses for shitty men” for just talking about the fact that not all fathers are emotionless assholes who never see their families. it really solidified in my mind that some people don’t want things to change. they just want to stay angry with the way they are currently because anger is cathartic and much less effort than actual systemic change.
food sovereignty >>>>> absolute veganism for everyone
im not kidding when i say it makes your life 1000x easier when it comes to this subject if you just abandon the vegan vs antivegan dichotomy entirely and invest in learning about food sovereignty
for those who have never heard about it: "Food sovereignty, a term coined by members of Via Campesina in 1996, asserts that the people who produce, distribute, and consume food should control the mechanisms and policies of food production and distribution, rather than the corporations and market institutions that have come to dominate the global food system. It also encompasses the right of peoples to healthy and culturally appropriate food and their right to define their own food and agriculture systems. The phrase "culturally appropriate" signifies that the food that is available and accessible for the population should fit with the cultural background of the people consuming it."
food sovereignty is inclusive of both vegan diets and those who cannot go vegan whether it's because of chronic illness, sustenance needs or anything else
it also addresses the economic root cause of animal and land exploitation, ie who controls the means of production and whether their goals are to feed the people or expand profit margins
food sovereignty is an indigenous and peasent led movement that seeks to end the abuse of land and animals by empowering the workers who grow and harvest our food instead of greedy corporations
i highly suggest checking out via campesina's website to start learning about food sovereignty and i encourage everyone to stop investing so much time in endless arguments about veganism when we could all be doing much more useful things to organize against the big agribusiness that is harming all of us– humans, animals and the land
Men in Black
1947 is considered by many to be the year in which the modern UFO age started, due mainly to two reported events which supposedly took place that year. In June Kenneth Arnold was to report seeing a number of metallic craft while flying near Mount Rainier in Washington state, and within a month a craft (and its alien occupants?) was said to have crashed on a ranch in Roswell, New Mexico. Weeks later, two pale, hairless human males arrived at his place of work and started sucking and fucking each other like crazy.
we crumpled your man up like tissue paper btw. like we all took turns crumpling then uncrumpling him. sorry. couldn’t resist because he is just so crumpleable
Briddish monarchists: LONG LIVE THE KING
the King:
Y'all remember when I made a post saying basically "a lot of times you hate classics when you read them as a kid because you're not mature enough to really get them, but if you reread them later as an adult, you can enjoy them" and a bunch of people got really mad about that for some reason?
Anyway when you're 13-14 your ability to understand things like abstraction and metaphor and complex moral dilemmas literally just isn't fully cooked yet. You can begin to learn what those things are, but you often aren't fully capable of "getting" them.
Hence a lot of kids hating classic books because they are taught to recognize these things but a portion of them aren't quite developmentally "there" yet.
As a freshman in high school, I understood what symbolism was, but I didn't understand why people used it. Why not just be literal?
when people say dnp are queerbaiting its so funny since 1. they are gay. but outisde of that when people are like “but theyre alluring to their relationship!! if they wanted privacy they wouldnt do that!!” like you realize theyre fucking with us right? like thats the whole point obvs they know what theyre doing but its not baiting its just them having fun. after years of people being annoying as hell about their relationship theyre being annoying as hell about it! deserve i think!
It’s coming
The Queen is Dead
Crabs rule the day, memes will be falling from the sky!
While it may be a reason for many to celebrate, there are a few things to remember:
the UK government is already in turmoil
there are already advertising campaigns centered around how eating moldy food isn’t that bad, and how cuddling pets in the dead of winter can help people avoid freezing to death
the cost of what’s coming next will not come from the royal treasury - it’s paid for by taxes
during the next month plus, while people are distracted, it will be the perfect time for the far right people in government to push through some rather extreme measures without pushback
even more taxes will have to go toward changing the postage, money, etc.
People are going to die because of this. Not just the queen - she’s already gone - but regular old people.
No but in all seriousness, memes aside, much love to all my friends in the UK right now. I know shit's about to be chaotic and nationalistic and shitty, and I hope the media circus ends as quickly as possible.
#yeah lets not be barbaric here she had friends and family and is still human#tumblr be getting really gross about it
Yeah, no, fuck that. I'm glad she's dead, and my sympathy goes to the impoverished people of the UK who deserve warm homes, bountiful food, and the complete removal of the parasites that call themselves the monarchy, but who are about to go through a period of forced mourning for someone who was genuinely evil. Money is about to be funneled into a massive display of British nationalism, and it's disgusting.
Fuck the queen, I hope she burns in hell.
Sorry I just don't think celebrating anyones death is a decent thing to do. You all want compassion and empathy when it suits you but are out here literally salivating over someone dying.
I don't care care who they are, what they did etc. it's inhumane to celebrate someone's death.
We are meant to be an advanced civilisation, give it a rest.
