This is my main blog. I am 21 y/o. he/they/any. Mi lengua primera es Inglés estadounidense. Hablo Español también pero leo y escribo mejor que puedo hablar y oír, desafortunadamente. Lo trabajo en esto.

I reblog a lot of art and posts related to architecture and costume design. I have a strong interest in human/environment relationships, ecology, solarpunk, and all that jazz. Aside from that, I'll make sporadic personal posts, gay shit, crafts, and what have you.

Fandoms you will likely encounter here include Resident Evil (mainly Biohazard & Village), The Addams Family (incl. Wednesday), Community (six seasons and a movie!), and who knows what else. I'm a big nerd about sitcoms for some reason.

My favorite band is the mountain goats. My music interests kinda varied, from classical, jazz, folk to hardcore, post-punk, new wave, chiptune, and "angry girl music of the indie rock persuasion."

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about identity and community. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about womanhood. I think perhaps my connection to womanhood is more learned than it is innate to my body… I am a woman because I am a sister, a protector, a lover, a place of safety and a nurturer. I am a woman because it is a role I have accepted, not because I believe in any sort of gender essentialism.

“Woman” is a word to describe the character I play in other peoples lives, “femme”, a word to describe the role I serve in my queer communities. My femme-ness happens to align with the femininity of my body, and I recognize that I see privileges because of this. I use my position of femme privilege to stand with and defend butches, mascs, studs, genderqueer folk, and trans members of our community. The sisterly element of my connection to womanhood drives me to connect with and protect my queer siblings who may be more visible or more vulnerable than myself. That is an important distinction of the political identity of a “femme” identity to me.

i'm studying for a math/writing placement test, and, after not really doing school for 3+ years, I actually have motivation to study and learn. I even started studying 2 weeks in advance and made a curriculum to work in studying around my work days. Unfortunately, because I actually want to study, I keep staying up way too late. Like to the point where I get 4-5 hours of sleep. I hope all this time I'm spending reviewing 4 years of math is worth it and I can test into a more advanced level.
