This is my 2021 @malexsanta gift fic for @manesframe - I’m so sorry it’s late, but I hope you like it!
The first two prompts were generally for hurt/comfort and reunions with some angst beforehand, and I took those and my (strong lmao) feelings about all the missed trope opportunities in Episode 3x08 and rewrote the Malex parts of that episode. Lots of arguing, followed by the tropes I desperately wanted, followed by some hurt/comfort and kissing 😁

Michael’s retort died in his throat. “Fine. You can come.” He motioned for Alex to get in the cab, pulling his own door open irritatedly. Of course Alex didn’t want to come because he gave a shit about Michael’s well being, of course it wasn’t protective. It was nothing but chance that they were working towards the same goal. He added, uncharitably, “But you’re not going to sabotage me because of some secret mission bullshit of your own, okay?”
Instead of the bristling Michael expected, Alex just nodded curtly.
