Indulge in the bold and savory flavors of this Lamb Harissa and Halloumi Burger. The spiced lamb patty is complemented by the creamy mint yogurt sauce and the salty, grilled halloumi cheese, all sandwiched between a toasted bun. It's the ultimate burger experience!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground lamb. 2 tablespoons harissa paste. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 slices of halloumi cheese. 4 burger buns. 1/4 cup Greek yogurt. 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped. 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped. Lettuce leaves. Tomato slices. Red onion slices. Olive oil for grilling.
Instructions: Put the ground lamb, harissa paste, ground cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix everything together well. Cut the lamb mixture into four equal parts and shape each one into a burger patty. Warm up your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and use olive oil to keep things from sticking. For medium-rare, grill the lamb patties for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side. You can cook them longer if you like them more done. Spread olive oil on the halloumi cheese slices and grill them for one to two minutes on each side, until they get grill marks and become a little soft. Do this while the lamb patties are cooking. Put the Greek yogurt, chopped mint, and chopped parsley in a small bowl. Mix them together to make a creamy sauce. Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill before putting the burgers together. Cover the bottom bun with a big spoonful of the minty yogurt sauce. After putting a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, add the grilled lamb patty. Place a grilled halloumi cheese slice on top of the lamb patty. Add slices of tomato and red onion on top. Put the top bun on last and serve right away.
