Hellboy - The Wild Hunt #1
I really really liked Iosif since he first appeared, but after Reign of the Black Flame he easily became my favorite character in BPRD.
BPRD #118 and #119 - Mike Mignola, James Harren, John Arcudi - 2014
Poor poor Johann. It's rare to find a comic with such realistic and believable characters as BPRD.
BPRD #49 and #50 - Mike Mignola, Guy Davis, John Arcudi - 2008
BPRD #20 - Mike Mignola, Guy Davis, John Arcudi - 2005
Darkseid Minus New Gods
I just finished all 4 Jack Kirby's Fourth World Omnibuses, seems like an appropriate way to celebrate.
Supergirl and Lois Lane hairstyle voting contests.
Contempo Cut is my favorite, to be honest, and I'm loving that the winning choice for Lois is 'as is'.
That time Jimmy Olsen threw the fuck down
Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #148, April 1972
Take a moment to consider that one of DC Comics’ first openly homosexual pairings was between a superintelligent gun-toting gorilla; and a mad scientist’s disembodied brain stuck in a robot head.
They really are kind of adorable together, in the way that absolutely horrible people who are in love with each other can be.
Speaking of great couples...
Animal Man by Gabriel Hardman @heathencomics
Mister Miracle & Big Barda by Tom Fowler
I think I might even venture to say they are my favorite superhero couple - makes it easy when they're both amazing individually!
The birth of one of my favorite characters - Scott Free, Mister Miracle!
"The trap is not in the chain-- it is in the brain..."

Oh Rebis.
I actually teared up a bit reading this. The Doom Patrol are uncomfortable, weird and somewhat frightening and I can relate to them so much.
Animal Man, one of millions of reasons DC Comics is the best.
Thanks, Grant Morrison
Grant Morrison, Animal Man #4.
