Your weather might be wet, but zhe german weather ist Wetter
would you rather be able to
understand (read, write and speak fluently) any human language (dead or alive)
teleport (guaranteed safely) anywhere on earth
𝔣𝔦𝔫𝔡𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔱𝔦𝔪𝔢
goddamn the Et Al family are some smart motherfuckers
Whoever needs to hear this: learning takes time, so take as long as you need. What matters is that you’re trying for yourself, that you’re not giving up even when education feels like it’s pushing you down. You’ll get there when it all happens.
"Guy" and "man" have different connotations with adjectival nouns. Like "tree guy" = arborist but "tree man" = he lives in a tree, or maybe he is a tree.
"I know a guy" = "I have a useful contact."
"I know a man" = "I am about to tell you a story."
“He’s a great guy” = he is pleasant and fun and well-intentioned
“He’s a great man” = he has saved countless lives and changed the world irrevocably
"He's a good guy" = he's a warm-hearted, morally upstanding, trustworthy individual
"He's a good man" = He's dead or is about to die
12.04.2024—had the best of intentions for this Sunday, but am now exhausted
As exhausted as the girl in my wallpaper

17/03/2026 - Back to learning a language!
One resolution I set myself for the year was to get back to learning a language. And I recently plucked up the energy to actually take the leap into it again. I'm starting out with Duolingo but, I am going to be using other resources too, in order to learn my chosen language. I even wiped my entire progress clean and started right from the beginning with it.
(Also, I have been obsessed with these landscape post styles I keep seeing so tried it out for this one.)
What order do you say it in?
paper rock scissors
rock scissors paper
paper scissors rock
rock paper scissors
scissors rock paper
scissors paper rock
no consistent order
spending saturday mornings working is growing on me
Knowledge can’t be taken away from you.
Refreshed the writing space. xx
02.19.2026 — Aftermath of tonight’s class. I have zero free time these days, so I’ve started doing this thing where I write down shows and movies I want to watch on post-its, and just leave it all around my desk. 🥲
the humble "like" is oft mocked despite what it does for us. "like, three people" is a vastly different statement from "three people". "and i was like 'what the fuck'" is vastly different from "and i said 'what the fuck'". i love you "like" and anyone who says you make people sound stupid will be killed on sight
