Oh my we are playing the cordial card, well if you want to know, I am doing well…He looked at her, his eyes low and stern. What brings you to me Spider? You need another deal?
Natasha pressed her hands against the bars pushing to get out, but it was hopeless. The bars didn't move or bend. She stepped away from looking for possible ways out, but there was nothing at all. She tried using her sending a 'widows bite' through the top of the cage, but nothing move, no hole was created. During her sleep she had been captured by someone, and she awoke she was here. The cage- or perhaps small room was almost invincible like the one that had put Loki in. Even though this one used bars, the top was still impeccable. The bars were to close for her to slip in between. She sighed, almost unaudiable.
Suddenly there were footstep. Natasha turned, she wasn't quite surprised to see him.
Loki. He had returned. The even slight bit of emotion disappeared from her face in an instant.
"What do you want?"
"Information." He said cooly, watching her carefully. Loki knew that it wasn't going to be easy.
"I'm not telling you anything."
He nodded, a sarcastic frown formed. "Well that's okay." He turned himself, pulling a rope, lifting up a sheet that hid something. When he stepped away she got a full view of what was there.
It was a semi-conscious Clint, tied to a pole. A small, shocked gasp managed to escape her lips.
Clint. No- he can't have Clint- oh-
She thought to herself, rushing to the bars. "He has nothing to do with this let him go."
Loki only smirked, twirling the golden scepter in his hands. "If you tell me some information about S.H.I.E.L.D. then I'll gladly let him go. Until then.."
Loki walked over to helpless Clint, lifting his chin up with the end of scepter, forcing him to look at her. Clint let a soft grunt of her name, trying to struggle away from Loki.
Loki laughed at him, evilly, like a monster.
"Let him go!" She demanded.
"Is this love?" He asked, an evil smirk placed upon on his face.
She managed the best look of doubt she could, "No. We're just partners." She says simply shrugging it off. She can be very good at lying- but against the god mischief, it was going to be hard to compete to, and she new she failed.
Loki chuckled, "If that's what you tell yourself." He shook his head and walked back over to Clint, pointing the scepter to his cheek. He tsked. "What a shame," He turned to her, "you know, he was a wonderful servant when he was under my spell, but it's a shame he'll have to go due to your carelessness."
And with that, Loki slit the tip of scepter across Clint's cheek, the crimson liquid soon followed, trickling down his cheek, onto his chin and dripping to his chest.
She struggled to control her emotions.
"He has nothing to do with this- let him go." She demanded.
"You're not giving me any information, so I think not." He looked at her, his ice cold eyes not changing. Before long he turned away back to Clint.
Natasha turned around not wanting to face Clint in pain, she only hoped Loki would let it go.
She was wrong though. He walked up behind whispering into her ear,
"A few simple words could save your lovers life. All you have to do is give me information, and he'll be fine. If you do not follow- you may never speak to him again." He pulled away although the icy chill to his voice remained.
She could here his scepter slice across another patch of skin. This time Loki had removed his shirt, and cut across his stomach.
She gasped, throwing herself against the bars. "Please! Stop!" It was the one of the few times she felt vulnerable in her life. It was because she had a weakness.
His harsh laugh left his lips.
"We're switching bases. We'll be in the second biggest city by next week. Bruce is doing all the research. We were to start looking for you next Friday." They all came out in rush, she was still pressed against the bars.
"Let me go." She cried of desperation.
"As you wish." He pressed one simple button and she was free, but she wasn't focused on Loki- they'd find him later. She rushed to Clints side untying him. He was now full unconscious.
Loki stood in silence, smiling widely as he reflected on the success of the day. Things were starting to fall into place once more and he started to believe that his plan would succeed this time around. He leaned against the wall of the building, turning his gaze to the sky to watch the moon rise. It was a fairly clear night and there was not a cloud in the sky. Loki stared at the sky for a few moments more before turning and walking down the empty street.
He walked in silence, his eyes focused in front of him, his guard up. He knew that if anyone figured out what he had done, they would be after him without a moment’s pause. Loki was tense and ready to react to the slightest sound.
Natasha had noticed Clint's disappearance. At first she assumed he was just off on a mission nothing special. But after several hours and no return, she began to worry about where he was. She equipped herself in her usual gear, she almost never took it off. Especially when she was looking for a comrade that could have been kidnapped by someone. She check the time before she set out, it was bit past midnight. Natasha looked for a while, unsuccessful. She soon came across a shadowy figure. She pondered on who it could be. She slowed her steps making no noise. As the figure passed by street lights.
"Loki?" She called out tentatively. She figured maybe after returning to Asgard he had maybe changed, but her instincts told her different, which made her hands slip to her belt, and activate her bracelets. She promised her self she wouldn't him hurt him unless it was necessary - he was a part of Thor's family after all.
