Okay this is going to be a rant post! If you don’t want to read this then I advice that you scroll!!

I was having a doctors appointment the other day as a checkup and due to COVID only one person is allowed in the room at one time. This I get !! I understand this completely but when not only myself but my mother who transported me to the doctors tell you that I have a hearing impairment known as APD or Auditory Processing Disorder and your reply is can you hear me now? And when I say yes your reply is well if needs be I will talk louder . Don’t expect me to not be screaming in my head how rude you are! Yes I know I don’t have hearing aids and there’s a pandemic but damn as a doctor that shouldn’t be your reply . Being polite doesn’t cost Jack darling!

spread a little love today. tell someone their hair looks fabulous. help a struggling person out. compliment someone’s outfit. offer someone a hug. have a convo with someone who’s feeling left out. say thank you and please. rec someone some really cool music that you love. pay for the person behind you in line. let loved ones know they’re loved. go just a bit out of your way to be nicer.

there’s so much you can do, and it really doesn’t take much time or effort but it does warm your heart and lets someone else know they’re cared for. go spread a little love today.

Ayana Tyrell ~ The Thorned Lioness

Family

Ayana Tyrell was born on the 9th September 262BC to Lord Mace Tyrell and Lady Alerie Tyrell. She was the first born daughter but has three younger brothers. Willas, Garlan and Loras who are around her always like to protect her, even though she is the oldest. Ayana also has a younger sister called Margery who she read stories to at night to get her to sleep.

Childhood

Ayana Tyrell never had a happy childhood because from the day she was born her father despised her due to a mutation that occurred during her mother’s pregnancy. Ayana’s eyes turned a different colour depending on what emotion she felt.

When she was finally old enough to talk and walk for herself, her father declared that Ayana should be locked in a white tower at the furthered area attached to the family house at the Reach so that the Reach’s enemies couldn’t use her mutation against her.  The only time that Ayana was allowed out of the tower was when her father made her take fighting lessons with the guards which is how as an adult she is now covered in scars. Ayana used to sneak out with the help of one of her father’s oldest guards who was there when she was born. Caspian Rowan, he would take her out the tower to go and see her younger siblings in which she would read and sing to them under the guise of candlelight and her knight’s code of secrets and morality.

Adulthood

Ayana stayed in that bleak white tower till the age of 25 which is when her father Lord Mace Tyrell bartered her off to Tywin Lannister as a choice for his son Jaime. The sad thing about this is that Mace Tyrell did it in a heartbeat, finally being able to get rid of his oldest problem to someone else. When Mace told Jaime and Tywin of his treatment of  Ayana, they were secretly revolted. This was cemented into their minds and the real reason for the sack of Highgarden when Mace sent Ayana to King’s Landing without a knight or guard and she got wounded, landing on the steps of the Red Keep in a ruined dress stained red and a bloody black dagger in the firm grip of her right hand.

Jaime felt pity on the girl and started to teach her how to deal with different situations, this is a task that Tyrion Lannister collaborated with him on. This is where Tyrion found out that Ayana had a thirst for knowledge that rivalled his own and where Jaime found out she had qualities of a lioness wrapped in thorns.

Ayana had a great relationship with Tyrion Lannister even after Tyrion went to the Targaryen side of the war, swapping letters constantly adding to the knowledge in her mind. Jaime Lannister was a different type of enigma to Ayana, he protected her from the vile poison opinions of court when he could and she would help him with his tactical precision when fighting with your non-dominant hand as she could fight with both. They both went for a lot of horse rides together and Jaime even brought her a Black horse which she named Caspian after her father figure .

Haley’s diary - Meeting Natasha Romanoff 

The date was 17th August 2006, the day before my 8th birthday and I was waiting for my brother to get back from a mission which was based in Budapest . I was sat im S.H.E.I.L.D HQ just waiting for Phil Coulson or even my  brother to come walking down the corridor to tell me he was safe. 

After a couple of hours sat down on a steel bench, my body was starting to seize up and my eyes were falling shut till I heard the creak of the metal under someone else’s weight. I looked up through my lashes to see a tall but beautiful redhead with long hair but it was tied up in a ballerina bun . 

“Hey, What are you doing just sitting here sweetie ?” the mysterious woman asked. 

 “Just waiting for my brother, it’s my birthday tomorrow and he promised me “   I explained playing with my arrow charm on my  bracelet which Clint gave her before he left . 

“Well i’m Natasha, who are you ?” she asked smiling at ME  

“ My name is Haley Arya Barton “ I said smiling looking up at Nat 

“Clint’s little sister huh, come with me “ Nat stood up and took Haley’s hand before walking down the corridor before opening up a room which had weapons in. 

I gasped in shock looking around and gasped picking up the bow and arrow and started to slowly put the arrow in the bow before shooting it at a target just like Clint but she missed. 

“Come here Little Bow “ Nat got on her knees and helped Haley set up the arrow straight as Haley pulled the string and let go. The arrow flew through the air and hit the bullseye and Haley laughed before getting lifyted in the air by a male figure. 

“Well done Hals “ Clint said laughing and tickling Haley “Happy Birthday sis “ He said just as the clock hit midnight. 

“Happy Birthday Little Bow “ Nat said grinning and took a picture with all three of them in it.

Harvest Ending

Diary entry ~ Harvest ending 

Dear Diary, 

Tonight is the night in which the elders of New Orleans take my life to feed magic into the ground to apparently make us all stronger and more able to fight of Vampires and Werewolves. You see I’m the last key that they need to make that happen but I have to give up my life and I wonder what would happen if I never woke up? Who would miss me ? Josh, Marcel, Rebekah and Hayley? Thats five people out of 7 billion that would actually miss me if this doesn’t work but if it does what would my life be like then ? would I be shunned? Will I go back to the same hidden existance ? I cannot carry on this way ! not for the rest of my life. I’ll go insane .  

Marcel like always is trying to save every breath that comes out of my body but it is useless because with every passing second and every beat of my heart I am burning the only place that I have called home. That is why I hate having so much power as it hurts the people I love but if I can just channel this power into taking down Klaus Mikaelson who seems determined to break Marcel’s rules and then use me as a puppet then it is damn well worth it .

Today was a day unlike many others, today was the day that Niklaus Mikaelson was in a very bad mood as he had to deal with no only his psychotic  ex lover Aurora De Martel but Elijah’s Ex Aya who was trying to usurp power from his brother regarding the strix. The only good thing is that he was able to spend the calm cloudless night painting and looking after his darling daughter Hope.. This all changed by the presence of a particular Blonde that traveled to see him. 

Caroline Forbes woke up that morning feeling almost compelled to listen to Klaus’ old voicemail he sent her when she started up the Salvatore School and now she had some vacation time after going to a seminar in Paris , France and decided to take him up on his offer of a personal tour of Klaus’ favourite city.  Caroline parked up at the compound seeing multiple Vampires walking through the door and got out of her car and walked into the compound wearing a badass outfit of thigh high boots , a black dress and tights with a leather jacket around her shoulders. 

Just as her boots hit the threshold of the compound ground she ended feeling her body being moved at vampire speed to find herself in the middle of an art studio with the man she came to see with a dagger to her back as she got pushed chest first into the wall. 

“Can you drop the fucking Dagger, Klaus ?” She asked her voice dripping with disdain 

“Why don’t you drop the attitude first. Sweetheart and tell me what your doing here” Klaus asked putting the dagger on his desk. 

“I came here to have that tour you talked about but I can see your busy so I’m just going to go back to Mystic Falls” Caroline explained walking to the door of the art room. 

Klaus did something he would never regret nor forget but still to this day his actions shocked him to his core as he grabbed Caroline’s arm and pulled her into his arms and started to dance with her slowly before walking her to the balcony of his art room and telling her about his kingdom all night till the sun comes up. 

As the sun came up above the horizon of the french quarter Klaus moved his hand off the balcony. Wrapping  his arms round caroline’s waist and dipped her and just as the rays of the sun made her hair brighter in a red haze of the morning sun, Klaus’s lips slowly melted into Carolines and a spark hit their bodies at the same time as they got covered by the warm glow of fate. 

That perfect moment that even out romanticised Romeo and juliet for forbidden love was broken very quickly by Aurora De Martel throwing a human heart at Klaus’ head covering both Klaus and Caroline in blood screaming at how she was going to get revenge as Klaus picked up the heart and shrugged before biting into it then offering it to Caroline .

This is awesome and can help a lot of different people with different hearing impairments. I have Auditory Processing Disorder and I find that hard and I think that if you are constantly taking phone calls then this would be a good investment

Subtitles PSA (YouTube)

When you’re subtitling a video, for fucks sake please do not put random comments or memes or any other shit in the subtitles except what’s being said in the goddamn video

The people who need and use subtitles want to know what’s being said, not your opinion on how funny the persons laugh is or that you ship the people in the video. We want to know what is being said. That is the entire purpose of subtitles.

Talking about listening to Podcasts and liking when they provide transcripts. Me- No, it’s just easier to follow along, in case I miss something. That’s why I have issues with audiobooks, too. B- I can see that. It’s just nice to be able to multitask, sometimes, though. Me- Like if audiobooks had transcripts, they’d be perfect. B- … Me- … B- … Me- Oh wait…

I started to play the new Spider-man game on PS4 and it’s quickly becoming a special interest of mine. I was so pleasantly surprised to see an “accessibility” menu in this game. 

A menu that allows you to have bigger subtitles, to put them on a black background so that they’re more readable, to disable QTE if you can’t mash buttons (because if you keep it activated, yeah, you mash buttons pretty hard), a background for the HUD to make it more readable and the possibility to skip puzzles… 

I might forgot some stuff, but the point is that they created this game while keeping in mind that disabled people might play it and might need some features to be turned off or displayed differently. And it’s great.

I turned on the subtitles, put them in a bigger size and on a black background and it does wonders for me. I can read them easily, even when I’m playing, and I don’t have to focus so much on what everyone’s saying. It allows me to fully enjoy the game.

It should be normal, honestly. But when we still have video games with no subtitles at all, I think we still have to compliment video games teams that actually make the effort to be inclusive and to simplify their mechanics for disabled people or people with various difficulties.

Just a PSA

Please ladies, don’t make fun of women who wear pads. Like, don’t call them a dipper butt or a child or anything thing else degrading for not inserting a tampon in their vagina.

Some of us can’t physically do it for medical reasons and it hurts to try and if you manage it, it’s just even more excruciating to pull out. A lot of women fear TSS that runs rampant when a tampon is inserted for too long. Other women like me do it because it’s more comfortable for us.

For whatever reason it is, don’t make fun of it!

It’s already enough that periods in modern day society are considered taboo and shameful to have in any way shape or form, we don’t need to feel bad about how we contain it too.
