I enjoy that Breath of the Wild has a thermometer because it allows me to know with precision that I’m making Link walk through -17 degree farenheit weather just so if I can see if there’s anything on the top of the mountain. There was not. I also enjoy that Zelda pops into my head to tell me whenever the blood moon arrives because it shows that she can contact me, she is aware of the passage of time, and she would like to inform Link that another month has passed, should Link care to come down from the mountain and please kill Ganon at some point.
Zelda holding back Ganon by sheer willpower alone, watching as Link elsewhere in the world dies after flying off a cliff while he was trying to pop a wheelie on his magic motorcycle as he murdered mountain goats for meat he didn’t need
I find I’m quite taken with the image of Link that we get in Breath of the Wild; i.e., that of someone who’s sensitive, compassionate, a bit easily startled, compelled to pet every dog he meets, yet at the same time the sort of person who will quite willingly paraglide off a mountainside - naked, screaming and possibly on fire - in order to get the drop on an enemy many times his size, rip its arm off, beat said enemy to death with said arm, then hang onto it just in case he runs into anything else that seems to be in need of a good arming.
Link is a complex man, is what I’m saying.
(And let’s not act like BotW’s Zelda would be in any way disturbed by all this. This is a woman whose first impulse upon catching a potentially psychoactive frog is to try to talk Link into eating it right then and there so that she can study its effects on him. She’d totally be an enabler.)
Be proud of who you’ve evolved into! Happy Pride!!!
opal is fucking terrifying

I'm glad priorities are in order
I’m trying to play botw without looking up stuff for it. I don’t really know how many hearts it takes to get the master sword. It definitely takes more than I have…

pmd stans come get your juice
I will say this in SWSH’s defense: I truly never understood “don’t go into the tall grass” until a pokemon twice my size started chasing me and immediately proved to be faster than I could run
if her pokemon hadn’t been there to protect her i firmly believe that the small child you play as in this game would be dead now
The Wild Area is GameFreak finally putting the old “lol a game about forcing animals to fight” thing to rest. These things want nothing more than to eat curry, get petted, and kick any ass in their line of sight.
this is an excellent addition to my post a+
this is also why nurse joy says “we hope to see you again” after she heals your pokemon. if she sees you again it means you haven’t gotten mauled to death by elemental creatures while you were away.
Everyone in SWSH is a fucking idiot, and honestly we stan!
leon pokemon got skinny arms but big tiddies whats his secret
