Okay, so I think I should probably just mention it that I have decided that I’m not going to be roleplaying – in this fandom, and for quite a while – any more. It has nothing to do with people or anything like that, it is simply and purely because of personal reasons.

I will still be around on skype and my personal blog, but I won’t be coming on Innocent any longer. Sure, I’ll leave him up and there might even be a chance that I may return, however at this moment in time I doubt that will happen. Please don’t feel sad about this, because over the past couple of weeks I’ve been happier than I ever have over the course of the last three months.

My mom’s publishing company is going under. This means we could end up homeless.

A while back I tried to gain assistance for the same problem but no one really helped. Now it’s a code red situation and it’s not avoidable. We have TWO MONTHS before we run out of cash.

“No.” He said breezily, running his fingers over his wings to smooth them. “You are confused. It is not, in fact, wonderful. It is a dreadful turn of events. Everything shall become drenched. Is it not Ammon?” The boy immediately tugged on his jeans and whispered something, shy as usual. Bakura bent over then strightened to stare at the rain-bewitched human. “May he play with Ophie?”

“But watching rain is the best thing ever! And the sound of it on glass is wonderful,” he gushed quickly, staring with wide eyes out of the window and refusing to look away from it. He blinked for a moment, and finally stood on his feet, looking at the two over his shoulder. “Let me get you guys a towel first, yeah?”

He padded his way away from them down the hall, returning quickly with towels. Draping one of the boy’s shoulders, Ryou through the other at Star’s face, and laughed when it wrapped around his face.

“Are you quite certain it is not you who ought to remain away from Ophie when you are in a mood?” One of his delicate eyebrows arched up and he spoke slowly. “I am not part of any wars Ryou. I am not truly training him into a warrior, that was a joke. Are you quite alright? Your talent for ruining jokes does not usually exceed my own.”

“You told me you were a soldier when we first met. I don’t care if right now you’re not part of a war, but you will not mention anything to Ophidia that will make him want to join the army, do you understand?”

Sharp eyes stared at him, waiting none too patiently for his reply. Selfish though he may be, the idea of his only family member left going off to the army with the possibility of dying was something that made him feel disgust bubbling in the pit of his stomach.

“B-A-K-U-R-A,” he said quickly, looking around. He felt eyes on him and knew he couldn’t stay in one place for long. He might be followed…

“Just hurry up!”

“I’ll take my time,” he grunted to himself, pulling a face as he mocked the stranger where he couldn’t see him. Some people had no patience and made him want to punch them far too hard.

Bakura, Bakura, Bakura…. Ah! There it was. He picked it up, eyes widening at the weight of the small package. It couldn’t be a clock. It had to be something more— But that wasn’t his job. So he took the parcel back out to the boy and leant his hand against the counter.

“Is this what you’re looking for?”

Bakura’s eyes widened in relief when he saw the package and nodded, reaching to take it.

But the door opening behind him made him stiffen. Shit, no…not them. Not yet. He couldn’t fight here in this asshole’s shop!

Ryou placed the parcel on the counter and squinted down at the paper that had been stuck on top of it with the price, not tick placed next to it. Pointing at the number, he asked kindly for his father’s pay before moving a little to the right.

“I’m afraid my father’s not here right now, so if you want to discuss at length about a product, you’ll have to come back in twenty minutes or so,” he said in the nicest way possible, with a kind smile on his face, to the new stranger that had just stepped through the door.

Peers down at a very familiar cute face she has not seen in a while.  “OPHIE!”  Swings him up and gives him a big kiss on the cheek.  “Hello little one.  How are you?”

Squeals loudly, kicking his feet when he’s picked up. Reaches out and grasps onto her robes tightly as a security measure, grinning widely at her. “Good! Good good good.” Pokes her cheek with a chubby finger.

Wings stretch to wrap around the squealing, kicking form.  Even without his tight grip, she would not let him fall.  Loving wings, hands and magic would prevent it.  She gasped at his poke and his words, amazed by his improved speech.  Taking the offending digit she gently kisses it before grinning hugely.  “Listen to how well you speak!  You’ve grown so much little one!  Have you and papa been having fun?”

The child flailed his legs still despite the fact he was being held and wasn’t about to be dropped. He was giggling to himself and tugging on her robes. The young tot was happy, and his father was happy. People seemed to love him and wanted him to be happy to any extent. He was doted on. He was having the time of his life.
