dirk & rose loooove sabotaging their relationships. they get along so well bc they're just playing chicken w how much they can tank their own bond. it backfires bc they feel they can be their "true selves" w each other (stagnating & being selfish) and they end up codependent and destroying everything around them. unfortunately dirk has the patriarchy at his disposal
