“Claudia La Bianca never took an anatomy drawing class” reports @MiamiNewTimes. Instead she sat backstage in Sicily watching the beautiful models in her big sister’s lingerie fashion shows. Barely covering her expenses when she launched into street art, La Bianca quickly gained a reputation for “superhero-like murals that portrayed female empowerment.” After years successfully spent producing and directing commercials, films, and television shows she returned to the streets in 2014 at the request of a Wynwood gallery owner and while she hadn’t painted in a decade the response was amazing. For Art Basel 2017 La Bianca’s 23rd St mural in Wynwood describes a Bad Bitch as “a self-respected, strong female who has everything together: body, mind, finances, and swagger!
