My parents and their jw friends often ask me why I want to worship Fenrir.

Why would I want to worship the wolf said to destroy the earth?

Why wouldn't I? Especially after how you raised me.

Fenrir's only crime was being born and Odin chained him up for it, because he was scared of what he would become. Then when he broke free they lied to him and chained him again. When the God Tyr was faced with consequences of this lie he was called brave and fearless while Fenrir was deemed monster and evil. Likewise I am bound by the chains of my birth, maybe not as physical as yours but they are still chains. I am not what my parents wanted, I am evil in their eyes and only bad can come from the path im on, so they restrict what I can do and where I can go. I have spent years living in these chains and now that I have some freedom you're damn right I'm going to be spiteful.

This really gets me where I live. I love the Norse pantheon, but I've never related Fenrir to myself. But I am exactly what my parents were afraid of, and I'm still trying to completely disentangle myself from the chains they put me in. I left the cult a long time ago, but it still haunts me.
