#that’s the thing about jc. he doesn’t let people in to the family very easily and he’s very protective of the family he already has#but once you prove that you’re serious about one of his siblings and that you make them happy he is on board!#so like at this point he and lwj have a very awkward rapport but they do have a rapport and jc accepts him#and then bam wwx comes along and is like ‘eject him from the family shaped chamber of your heart into which#you begrudgingly admitted him. strike his name from the family registry you keep inscribed upon your soul. this guy is old news’#and jc is like damn okay bro i will do that right away and i will not make an uncomfortable conciliatory face at him#in recognition of all he has done for us even though there’s a part of me that really wants to more tags via @howdydowdy because i love them.

#jiang cheng being perpetually doomed to resign himself to brothers-in-law at the worst possible moment is near and dear to my heart #i’m very fond of the idea that he was just coming around on zixuan when he died #like obviously ugh zixuan #but also he put a ring on it making him Officially Family #he is clearly tolerating yanli and jiang cheng’s codependence with relatively good grace #he contributed to jin ling’s existence which i think would constitute a redeeming feature all on its own #and he’s also trying to help bring wwx home! that’s huge. in the days immediately preceding zixuan’s death his stock is at an all time high #likewise lan wangji is helping jiang cheng find his brother! jiang cheng gets to a place where he comes perilously close to admitting he’s #very worried out loud! and it’s jiang cheng that’s not nothing #and then wwx is like nope he’s an untrustworthy outsider we don’t like him and we make sure he knows it #and jiang cheng is very much like well much as it is not for me to say if zixuan is forgiven #it is not for me to say if lan wangji has rights #but signs are pointing to no #also no really you don’t tell him where to go or step an inch more into his personal space than he wants you to be #like in private he might be all hey so you actually seem pretty fucked up about this are you sure it’s worth fighting with him about it? #but if lwj is in the room an internal jiang matter is an internal jiang matter and if wwx decides he gets the zixun treatment that’s it #he’s functionally zixun now #thanks for the three months of frantic searching and shared worry and misery! (via winepresswrath)
