First the cracker batter baker bakes a cracker batter batch then the cracker batter mixer door will open and unlatch so the batter mixer nozzle can descend onto the patch where the cracker batter spreads out for the nozzle to attach.

When the cracker mixer nozzle sprays the cracker batter spray and the cracker batch emulsion lies a-soaking in its haze then the cracker batter mixer starts to stir up all the glaze that the final cracker stacker needs to lubricate the way.

Once the cracker stacker handle stacks the cracker batter squares then the cracker batter’s hardened into double stacks of pairs. Now the cracker separator breaks the crackers in the stackers so the wrappers on the stackers fit the finished stacking crackers. Then they’re distributed to Wal-Mart.

Mainstream media is really important in shaping a popular opinion - this movie (the Sound of Music, for people who don’t recognise it) was the first thing I knew about Nazis and the beginning of the war. I’d never heard about them before, and I remember mum having to explain to me what the symbol meant. This movie showed likable, strong and sympathetic characters tearing up Nazi flags and resisting the Nazis. It showed Nazi-sympathizers as intimidating and unfair. It showed us that normal people (Rolfe) could fall for their propaganda and we could lose them. 

I was seven years old when I first watched this and immediately I knew Nazis were terrible, and because of the power of the story and the warmth of the characters this feeling sunk to my core. 

I worry a lot about kids whose first introduction to world events is a movie like ‘American Sniper’.

Yes, this is a great place to come and worship. “We serve the poor! No, not that poor, the more visually appealing poor. Get out of our food kitchen! This is for the aesthetic poor.”

If churches say they’re going to minister to the poor (as most do, hopefully all - minister meaning not just pray at you but also help you so you can pray at yourself), then they can’t just talk the talk, they gotta walk the walk. Which would include housing the homeless.

To be fair, it’s kind of hard to keep housing the homeless if it happening over and over could lead to your church getting shut down. I think we need to rewrite/repeal laws in place that make it crime to house homeless people in churches. Maybe base it off freedom of religion, and since helping the homeless and the poor is a religious tenant of Christianity, it might work. I’d have to take it up with a law professional.

Jan 19, 2017 - Cruz is reported for allegedly assaulting another student and referred for a threat assessment, according to MSD discipline records - no further action is taken

September 2017 - on a YouTube video by Ben Bennight, a comment by Cruz reads “I’m going to be a professional school shooter” - Bennight alerts the FBI and 2 agents interview him - no further action is taken

Nov 1, 2017 - Lynda Cruz dies of pneumonia - a family friend Rocxanne Deschamps takes in Nikolas and Zachary - Lynda’s cousin advises a sheriff to take away Cruz’s weapons in light of his mother’s death - they are not taken away, and this is the only evidence of professional concern being shown over how an armed Cruz would respond to his grief

November 2017 - Rocxanne Deschamps calls law enforcement worried to say that Cruz has been digging in the backyard for 15 minutes, stating “I’m positive he hid a weapon” - no action is taken
