INTP Women - Pampering

Invoking the obligatory disclaimer for personal differences, I'm guessing a lot of other INTP women will agree: If you truly want to pamper me for the day, please don't arrange a spa visit, a fancy night out, or a large gathering with friends. Let me sleep in, wear my favorite comfortable clothes, and then read/listen to/watch/work on whatever is most interesting to me at the time. While I do this, bring me whatever I forgot to pick up or realize I need from somewhere, along with my favorite snacks - don't try to get adventurous here, just stick with the knowns that require no prep. Now, be available to listen and bounce ideas off of, lend some help - if requested, and basically run interference with the world - including kids, if it applies. What you do in between is your choice. Arrange for some yummy takeout dinner to show up, and eat it with me wherever I want, when I'm ready. Dessert is a bonus, and I may eat it first. The goal? Let me simply be myself for the day, without having to be interrupted by external* demands and expectations. When I'm ready to be done, I'll express how enjoyable my day was, what a great job you did, and how much I appreciate you for understanding me. Aaah, the perfect pampered day!

*Note: Yes, you are in the "external" category. But don't feel bad. It encompasses everything outside my brain, including my own stomach.

INTP Rant - Trendy Words

Periodically, a word in the English lexicon is plucked from its normal obscurity, or one is newly created, to become a trendy descriptor. It is then used ad nauseam for a while. I don’t know if this bothers anyone else, but it annoys me on an irrational level, and I generally avoid using these words if possible. Currently, the word that’s really peeving me is “nuanced”.
