Day 14 of Productivity
I made inroads with my research for my Virginia colony essay
I continued research for my Gulf politics essay
I spent some valuable time relaxing because I was not feeling well today at all
Day 13 of Productivity
I went back to uni from my extended weekend at home
I finished my first blob from knitting!!!
I got further into my research for my Virginia essay
I started my research for my Gulf politics essay.
I settled back into my flat
I went to (most of) my lectures
Here's to productivity!
The older I get the more I admire people who are earnestly, genuinely into whatever their thing is. I know it sounds like an annoying cliche but unless you're being cruel or hurtful there is really no need to be normal about things. The dude with the bad fake accent at the renaissance faire is having the time of his life. The people having photoshoots with their fashion dolls are loving it. The old lady with a yard unreasonably full of tacky ass lawn ornaments is having a blast, HOA be damned.
Don't waste your time being too cool to have fun, y'know?
I just read “each time you open a book and read, a tree smiles knowing there's life after death”and OH MY GOD
OH MY GOD!
Took me until about halfway through college before I realized “study” means “play with the material in a variety of ways until you understand it” and not just “read the assigned chapters and do the homework” and I think that probably should have been discussed at some point prior to that.
“Focus in the present” girl… everything is happening at the same time
phone is my best friend she would never betray me. what do you mean my brain is being fried by the constant dopamine hits. she just wants me to be happy
why is it not socially acceptable to scream really loud
Student discount is so funny. You’re experiencing a Sisyphean hell of your own choosing. Have 50 cents off your coffee.
my tips for students that struggle with consistency
Day 12 of productivity
Today I spent some quality time with my grandmother and I began the journey of learning how to knit! I'm excited to be learning new skills that will give me new hobbies to enjoy!
Days 9, 10 and 11 of Productivity
I have decided to lump these days together as I haven't done much. Really, I just needed a break after a hectic stressful few weeks. On the Friday I had a shift at work, and then on Saturday I went home back to my mum's where I have just been relaxing and spending time with my family, recharging. Today I did apply for a job as an archivist in my unis library so that's cool, hopefully I get it because it looks amazing! Fingers cross 🤞🤞
Peace and love everyone xx
Day 8 of productivity
I finished writing my essay due Friday and handed it in
Did some reading for an essay due in a few weeks time
Relaxed for a few hours - this felt great as I've been really exhausted recently!!
study moods by time
the 1 am cramming session:
drooping eyes, scattered papers, rock music to keep you awake, a pencil in one hand, coffee in another, adrenaline pumping cause you have to ace that test tomorrow
the 6 am sunrise:
light creeping through your window, snuggling in bed with some green tea as you review your notes from class, lofi playing in the background, a warm vanilla candle lit
the 1 pm grind:
computer open with 10000 tabs of notes, immersed in the subject you’re reading, finishing things on your to-do list, blasting pop to keep your speed, stomach aching for some lunch
the 7 pm push-through:
physically & mentally exhausted from the day you had, finishing homework, reading what you learned in class one more time, 80s music playing as you’re watching the sun set
to everyone who’s looking for some study motivation- you got this! just push through the first few days and it will become a habit and trust me, it’ll all be worth it when you get that A :)
Reading about Qatar with the letters of the Arabic alphabet I have learnt so far! I really need to pick up my Arabic again, I've just been so busy recently!
Day 7 of productivity
I had a massive nap because I was feeling really exhausted
I wrote my essay under the new title that is due on Friday
I did some reading for another essay due in a few weeks time
