So MCD and Mystreet are connected, with the MCD being the past and possibly being legends and mythology depending on how far back and what Mystreet society is like.

I can’t help think of what Vylad is doing during Mystreet, I think he was trapped in the Nether. During some kind of final battle between Aphmau and Shad all Shadow Knights must return to the Nether to restore balance to the world cause they are Shad’s creations and aren’t supposed to exist. So Vylad and the other Shadow Knights spend the next thousand years trapped in the Nether, all those who weren’t immortal die off.

I don’t know where Aphmau is going to take the next season of Mystreet but I always imagined and Nether tie in, like someone builds a portal and releases the Shadow Knights, Vylad finds his way to the new Aphmau and crew, including the new him. (Vylad would be back because of everything that happened to his family during When Angels Fall). Eventually it ends with him dying or returning to the Nether, idk. I think dying would work, he would be like “I’ve been alive unnaturally long and this should’ve happened years ago” yk how he is.

With this particular idea, I also envisioned him and his reincarnation being so different from one another, after all, Mystreet Vylad didn’t die, he didn’t become Shadow Knight, he didn’t kill anyone, or betray anyone, or fight a war. He was just a normal guy, I wonder if MCD Vylad would be jealous, or would he be at peace.

I have begun composing the melody specifically, I am writing with cello in mind but I might be able to post an audio file of it on piano, hopefully with the chords if I get my shit together and actually learn basic piano

I have to compose a piece based on a character so I picked Vylad

I picked these because I think they both work, for the first, he is a Shadow Knight which have red armor but he wears green. He is a shadow knight which he can’t control but he chooses something else. I’m much more biased towards this for what I want to do.

For the second, green is a color he has worn all his life and became a shadow Knight later. So green represents him but red is something he had to put on. If I end up choosing this title I will probably take an approach focused on his transformation

The relationship between the Nether and Shadow Knights is barely explored in the actual show, but there are a few things that we are told that we can build off of.

one is that new Shadow Knights are affected by something called “The Call”

not to be a hater but the everyone being convinced Zane killed Vylad genuinely hurts my soul. It’s not that I think he wouldn’t have, it’s that I think he couldn’t have. At that point to me, Zane wasn’t fully convinced to his father’s view. I think it was Garroth’s absence that fully persuaded him, without his older brother to look up to he only had his father. I think it was Vylad’s death that really drove Garroth away from his family.

What Music Genres I think the MyStreet cast likes

Aphmau - she is a pop fan, obviously, but her taste has become very underground. She likes a lot of obscure pop and knows the genre inside and out basically. I think she’d also enjoy rap.

Aaron - he doesn’t listen to music. He does vibe with Lady Gaga and The Spice Girls sometimes though.

Katelyn - she likes metalcore. Discovered Evanescence and hasn’t looked back.

Travis - also likes metalcore, but he thinks he’s cool for it. I think he’d like Bring Me The Horizon, probably his starting band. (can you tell I don’t know metalcore at all)

Nana - she likes pop in any language but English. She started with j-pop and expanded out from there, you will find her with anything from French to mandarin to Swahili to literally anything else you can think of.

Zane - he likes the stereotypical emo music, the stuff that technically isn’t emo (I genuinely also know nothing about this that’s just what I’ve heard) like mcr, 21 pilots, fall out boy, etc. he called himself emo in high school but never actually knew what emo really was, now he doesn’t call himself anything in particular.

Lucinda - she likes a variety I think, definitely doesn’t limit herself. If it sounds ethereal she will love it. But other than that, she likes Siouxie and the Banshees, Kate Bush, Florence + The Machine. For ethereal, she definitely likes the Cocteau Twins.

Garroth - he likes white girl pop. There’s no other explanation imo. His favorite Taylor Swift album is Reputation.

Laurence - he likes classic rock, and is honestly a little pretentious. He doesn’t like any modern rock, refuses to listen to it even if it sounds identical to classic rock.

Vylad - he likes jazz, and I’m not willing to share my receipts. He also enjoys instrumentals as a whole.

Dante - another classic rock enjoyer, he’s a little more open minded than Laurence, but still only really likes the classic rock sound

Gene - he definitely likes Metallica and Iron Maiden. He thinks that’s the best metal ever made and everything else is trash. He also enjoys a fair share of grunge like Alice In Chains.

Zenix - I think he’d like punk, but he kind of takes it the wrong way, more aggressive if you understand you understand idk.

Sasha - she likes Deftones, she definitely called herself goth for a period of time but eventually realized goth wasn’t a look. She attempted to enjoy goth music and really only found herself liking She Wants Revenge and Panic Priest, and others like that.

I think I hit everyone with a distinct enough personality that I could tell.
