im irrigos (they/he, 30+). my main blog is @corvidcall I've been playing fallen london for over a decade and now there's something wrong with me. I love the Bishop of Southwark and i want to kill every Master and i will NOT stop writing fanfics about communism
one time i made this cool calligraphy piece
another time, i wrote a very long fanfic called The Book of Red Murder, about my oc Morgan going through Nemesis. it's currently on hiatus, but it will be coming back eventually!! Reading it is probably the most thorough way to learn about my vast menagerie of fallen london ocs
but for a less thorough explanation...
main characters in the Book of Red Murder continuity:
Morgan Fletcher (they/them)
late 20s
former academic, now Licentiate/Black Ribbon Duelist, eventual founder of the Great Hellbound Railway
came to London to avenge their murdered brother
lost their soul to a devil, still pretty bitter about it
Friends: the Bishop of Southwark/the Church, the Revolutionaries (its complicated)
Enemies: the Masters, Hell, themself
Eliot Saint-Croix (he/him)
mid 30s
technically a doctor, functionally a socialite
alcoholic, depressed, gay (was in a serious relationship with Morgan's brother)
came to London once his rich parents cut him off and he had nowhere left to go
WILL join a cult
Friends: Morgan, Hepsi, Mr Eaten
Enemies: Morgan, Hepsi, Mr Eaten
Hepsibah Brewster (she/her)
technically belongs to @starlit-mansion, but we're married so i have partial custody
early 40s
charismatic pickpocket, Light Fingers PC
best friends with Morgan's late brother
came to London after losing her son (he's still alive, but his rich estranged dad demanded custody and Hepsi didn't have the resources to refuse)
called "The Nice Lady" by the urchins, who will not clarify if this nickname is supposed to be ironic. shes nice to THEM
Friends: Morgan, Eliot, the Urchins
Enemies: Mr Fires, miscellaneous strings of debtors and marks
Jacob Russo (he/him)
early 20s
the Subdued/Reformed Protester from Five Minutes to Midday
former zailor, self-educated revolutionary
one time i wrote this fic about him getting radicalized by meeting January
Friends: the Calendar Council, the Bishop of Southwark, Morgan
Enemies: Hell, the Masters
The following characters are more minor, or their stories overlap less with the main BoRM narrative:
Mitts (they/them)
main character of my fic Manual Selection
early 20s
Marvelous winner who wished Gregory Beechwood would be a human again
eventually works in Morgan's lab even though they're terrified of Morgan
snuffer
Friends: Gregory Beechwood, the Urchins
Enemies: how could anyone dislike Mitts???? theyre just a little guy and theyre not even a little bit incredibly annoying to everyone they meet
Lindy Russo (she/her)
MotR PC, Jacob's mom
American seamstress, had moved to London to observe the latest European fashions when the city fell
in a poly relationship with Ivy and Phoebe, although technically she's married to Theophilius (long story, they don't live together, but he IS the father of her child, so...)
post MotR, opened her own clothes shop and has been very successful
comes to London several years after the end of BoRM, realizes she's a woman after learning what trans people are
very demure, very mindful (shy and anxious, autistic but that diagnosis doesnt exist yet in 1899)
Friends: her family (especially Eliot and her mom), Percy
Enemies: Society, unfamiliar environments
Percy Bullard (he/him)
half tiger on his father's side. he will not answer any questions about how that happened, beyond that he is not adopted
abrasive, rude, and widely disliked by his human peers (autistic)
also a little disliked by other cats because he's putting on airs, but he IS a cat and sometimes will buy them a fish or let them sleep in front of his fire, so its complicated.
his dad is a diplomat in Port Carnelian and his mom was a successful zee captain (until she went North and no one has seen her since). Percy lives by himself, a few houses down from the Fletcher-Brewster household
keeps a beautiful rose garden. his flowers are the most important thing in the world to him
Friends: the Horticultural Society, the cats, Izzy
Enemies: Society, his family
Francis (he/him)
a devil who romance-scammed Morgan out of their soul. Does not live in fear of what will happen when Morgan gets their hands on him. Should.
Henry Fletcher (he/him)
dead
Canon ships:
Morgan/Hepsi
Morgan/Jacob
Henry/Eliot
Mitts/Gregory Beechwood
Izzy/Percy
Lindy/Theophilius
Lindy/Ivy/Phoebe
Morgan/Francis (bad)
Eliot/Eaten (bad)
Non-canon ships I still like:
Morgan/Eliot
Morgan/Morgan's Discordance Double that became the tracklayers city
probably any configuration of these characters tbh. i love to explore different story avenues and i love to play with my dollies
i have never in my life failed more "80% chance of success" checks than in the high sanctum at zenith. whatever i didn't want more items anyway. i don't even care
Me, while in the fandom (famously a place for having fun and creating): but what if I'm wrong about The Character? what if my friends will disagree with my vision? what if I'm exactly that kind of Annoying Fandom Person Who Understands Nothing that my friends complain about????
listen i consider myself an empathic person but after a certain point i get sick of other people’s problems. my friend is always talking about how the jewel-eyed skull on their mantlepiece is tormenting them w its sinister beauty and im over it. like dude i don’t want to talk about this anymore. get rid of the fucking skull
which OTHER ambition would you choose for your player character
bag a legend
heart's desire
light fingers
nemesis
Remaining time: 5 days 10 hours
i've been thinking a bit about nemesis for stanisław. what if his eldest daughter was murdered and he decided to abandon his family to go on a wild quest of revenge
fallen london lets you send Fate to other players, which is good, but i wish i could send specific stuff. oh, you wanted to spend this Fate on action refreshes and useful items? too damn bad. youre getting Five Minutes to Midday and you're gonna like it
