some days, you find yourself struggling to find the time to brush your hair. you never thought it was all too necessary, you had many other things to attend to. besides, its not like anyone in the castle would see you, they were all much too busy with their own errands.
well, except for one certain boy.
said certain boy is currently standing at your doorway, looking as prim and proper as always. hallritt always seems to be so careful with his appearance. if you were to ask him why, he’d probably respond with something like;
“when people look at me, they’ll be reminded of lord kitty! so i have to make sure i look my best so everyone can happily continue to think of her!”
… bright as ever, he is… (you’ll try not to tell him that people think of lord kitty whenever they look at him, regardless of what he looks like…)
its for this exact reason that he’s at your door right now. you’ve come to a habit of trying to avoid hallritt whenever you run out of time in the morning to properly tidy yourself up. every time he sees your unkept hair, he always seems to frown and fuss over you. apparently today, hallritt, kind as ever (and slightly concerned for your wellbeing…), has taken it upon himself to check up on you in your living quarters before you both run off to fulfill your eventful schedules.
after apologizing for his sudden visit, his eyes trailed up to your hair causing him to slightly tilt his head to the side with a frown. though with a quick shake of his head, his bright smile has returned to its rightful place. you attempt to alert him of the rapidly marching time, however with a quick “don’t worry, we won’t take long!” he’s already leading you back to your desk where your hair brush lay neglected.
as he carefully guides you to sit at your chair, he reaches for your hair brush with a determined look on his face. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think he was working on a task personally given to him by lord kitty.. alas, hallritt is simply always this hardworking. with all of your worried words going through one ear and out the other, you simply give in and allow him to do as he pleases.
you two find yourself immersed in a peaceful quiet, simply enjoying each other’s presence with hallritt gently brushing your hair as if it was something precious to him. he treats you ever so softly, almost causing you to doze off at certain times. when hallritt would feel your head slowly tilting down in drowsiness, he’d only find himself with a softer gaze and a fond smile.
after hearing the soft thud of your hair brush being set back down, you’d open your eyes, vision still quite hazy from your little nap. as you carefully blink away the remnants of dreamland, you feel hallritt rest his hands on your shoulders. curiously, you look up at the mirror in front of you to catch a glimpse of his face. he dons a bright closed eye smile, with a slight tilt to his head.
“let’s do our best today!”
