i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping
this also goes for aesthetic or -core titles. 'y2k tank top' is going to get you resellers and fast fashion brands advertising to people looking to meet a current trend. 'thin strap crop tank top' is going to get you a diverse group of results and not upcharge you to hell and back
additionally, shop second hand when you can, second hand and thrift sites typically organize clothes by the cut and color. theyll be more affordable than a depop seller curating you a style to sell you
useful terminology for different kinds of clothing shapes :)
here are more terms! these are all from enérie. it is a really good blog that has lots of fashion terminology and it's a good mix of menswear and womenswear! they also have a book as well compiling all their diagrams. you could also look into getting a visual fashion dictionary for terms as well!
in a debate with my dad where I was saying that yes all stories are inherently political, here are the movies he gave me to refute this, and each one is hilarious:

Superman. The character who is a Moses allegory, written by two Jewish immigrants to the US before WWII, as a direct rebuttal to the Nazi ubermensch? Not political?
Once again we see the very important disconnect. When you say things are political, you mean to say how things are influenced by their social, cultural and political outside factors. Your dad seems to think that âpoliticalâ means âliterally about politicsâ, itâs a common misunderstanding.

King Boomie, having exactly zero limits:

[Toph eventually slips up and is captured by the city guard force. Instead of being imprisoned or exiled, Toph finds herself being given audience with the King of Omashu.]
Bumi: Well, well, well. It seems I have finally met the troublemaker who has been causing such chaos with my rail systems.

Bumi: I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with your earthbending abilities. You remind me of myself when I was a lad.
Toph: Get to the point.
Bumi: I see great potential in you, Toph Beifong. I want you inherit my title once I am no longer fit to rule.
Toph: Wait what the fuck
Why wasnât this Tophâs future instead of becoming a freaking cop. This would have made so much more sense.Â
My favorite part of this is âwhen I am no longer fit to ruleâ because
1. Implying Bumi was fit to rule at any point
1.1 except maybe in the sense that he was completely shredded
2. That he has no plans to die, (nor would death necessarily make him unfit to rule), but that he apparently intends to like. Tuck his arms and legs into himself and just roll off into the sunset.
3. Given that the Earth Kingdom has an actual ruling family that causes some drama in LoK, Toph continuing to cause monarchy confusion is both 100% in character and fucking hilarious.
Toph takes over as King Bumi the second and everyone is like âno thatâs not how inheriting worksâ and Bumi is like âNo no sheâs right, I did say âinherit my title!â
When toph is no longer fit to rule, she instills bumi (Aangâs son) as her heir and he is known as bumi 3.
Her first act as ruler is to ban herself from Omashuâs transportation system, thus fulfilling one of her life goals.
But then she ignores her ban and continues to use the transport system forcing her guard to chase her and print wanted posters declaring her a fugitive.
Fortunately the clerks served under King Bumi the First and are well aquatinted with explaining chaos to the confused citizenry of Omashu. Without missing a beat they print the posters in 2 parts.
The first (read this aloud) part is a fairly standard Wanted poster explaining that King Bumi II Toph the Blind Melon Bandit Lord is Banned from the Omashu Transport system for crimes etcâŠ.
The second part (do not read this aloud) explains not to be concerned; if you see the King at one of the stations just shout âThere she is!â The guards will chase her and you are free to go about your day. The King thanks you for participating in this guard training drill.
