Can't quite explain it but the "Opalite" video feels like it's tapping closer and closer to Taylor's signature approach to directing. The colour grading, whimsy / camp, first glimpse lighthearted humour that cuts deep when you give it a second glance, the fuzzy lens of warm and familiar nostalgia that still feels fresh and interesting and new.

Makes me more excited for her feature length film, especially knowing it's an original script.
