Moving into Forest Hills
thinking about post-s5 epilogue comphet Steve and Nancy forming a proper friendship, assuming this means they must be into each other and trying dating again
Eddie comes back from the dead (handwave handwave, idc how) and moves in with Steve while he and Nancy continue dating long distance
stancy are happy-ish in that they do love each other properly by now, just Not Like That - it's unspoken but they both know it about themselves and have their own insecurities about it. kind of a "I'm clearly broken but this is the closest I'm ever going to get to The Real Thing so I'm clinging to it"
steddie are falling in love back in Hawkins while Nancy's out in New York being a cool journalist, and Steve is ofc oblivious to his own feelings while Eddie is pining away knowing stancy are together
then Nancy encounters the concept of aromanticism and bursts into tears of relief at her NY kitchen table. she immediately gets in the car and heads for Hawkins, because Steve deserves to know, and Nancy's no coward
meanwhile, Eddie decides to leave town to save himself and Steve has a dramatic last minute sexuality crisis, confessing his love as Eddie's on his way out the door
Nancy lets herself into Steve's apartment ready to reluctantly break his heart (again) and finds steddie making out on the couch
Royalty AU where Steve is a prince, about to be married to a woman he's never even met so his father can secure their kingdom.
Meanwhile, Eddie is a thief, part of Hopper's crew, and they are planning to invade the castle during the wedding to steal whatever they can, since most of the guard is going to be too busy taking care of the ceremony; security everywhere else on the castle will be way easier to fool that way.
Hopper gives orders to all his crew members about what they're supposed to take and where to find them. They've studied the castle thoroughly for the past few months; everyone is more than ready when the wedding day finally comes.
One by one, everyone in the crew gets back to their meeting location safely and with the itens they were supposed to steal and Hopper is overjoyed that his plan is turning out to be a success.
Until Eddie finally shows up.
With Prince Steve trailing behind him.
Everyone is so shocked that no one says a word, the silence deafening for a bit too long and then Hopper at last finds his voice again.
"I sent you to steal the crown jewels, not the fucking prince, Eddie!!"
Eddie pouts, "But he was looking so sad."

I told BOTH of you
If anyone's wondering what I've been doing...
my two long-time sleeper obsessions finally converged so I took a crack at designing Steve and Eddie as spideypool. Years late in joining as is my usual but if there's anyone still tuning in please enjoy
Eddie breaks into the biggest presumptively empty house in Hawkins and finds out real quick that it’s not empty.
He comes face to face with this (admittedly very hot) guy holding a piping bag of icing and wearing a flour covered apron in the kitchen.
They both just stand there.
Staring at each other.
This guy - Steve, he’ll learn - isn’t exactly the poster child for Stand Your Ground so, “Fuck it, I’m robbing you.”
“Hm,” Steve says. “No, you’re not.”
“No, I’m - what?”
“You look like a nerd,” He says, picking up one of the cookies he was icing. “Does this look like a Deathstar?”
“…It looks like a disco ball.”
“That’s what I thought,” Steve shakes his head. “Damn it.”
Eddie should turn around and leave. He should actually just leave town and change his name, and never come back but. He takes a stop closer, “If I can make a suggestion…”
how do we feel knowing this bilbo raised this frodo because i am crying.
The "Sam held Frodo's hand but didn't kiss it" specification becomes way more funnier when you remember it's Frodo writing the book. It's Frodo Baggins wasting his paper and time and ink to mention that Sam didn't kiss his hand for some reason. He can't understand if he is vaguely mad, sad or confused about it, but he had to mention it. He had to specify. Why didn't Sam kiss his hand, really?
So should i assume all the other times Sam held his hands he kissed it..? Ok...ok...
steddie getting together in s5? sure. but what about steve and eddie knowing each other as kids, spending whole summers in the woods, turning skull rock into their castle, defending it from whatever monsters eddie could dream up that day and then one summer, steve just…..stops showing up. middle school starts, eddie sees him again, but this time he’s with new kids. he doesn’t look at eddie anymore and pretends he doesn’t exist and then the teasing starts, the word freak gets thrown around (steve starts it), first as a joke, then as a title and tommy hagan and carol perkins laugh as they repeat it over and over.
they see each other again in high school, buzzcut eddie, fresh jock steve and somehow, they keep drifting back toward each other, call it curiosity, late afternoons, locked bathrooms, quiet corners of the locker room, they say they hate each other, but still trade pieces of themselves in secret……….
and then steve stops showing up…….again. that is, until he appears with nancy wheeler on his arm and eddie decides he’ll hate him forever.
except he doesn’t, and years later, when steve is finally ready to admit what he feels……eddie dies.
the end.
welcome back, 90s steddie
My 90s grunge AU from 2022 dawg I never left the building
steve harrington buying matching vests in season 4 and then fully embracing eddie’s entire battle outfit in season 5 just so he can still be with him in some way. they’re boyfriends, your honor.

steve harrington, listen to me. you will never be straight in my eyes. moving into a trailer and living at forest hills trailer park to honor your dead ex-lover makes you far from straight. stop pretending. embrace the fruitiness.
