I imagine this is Simon's sketchbook after they've been on Erid for a while and they've healed up and maybe they've only just kissed a little because Simon is skittish and Grace is not super keen to rush things because it's been a long time for him and he honestly thought he'd go the rest of his life never being touched by another human being until he died and he thought he was okay with that but now he's so full of feelings and sees Simon struggling too so he's conflicted in what he wants as much as Simon is, and Simon has to sketch out his hopes and dreams cause he definitely can't just talk about them and so he sketches Simon and Grace being affectionate in his plant diary cos that's a thing seeing as he's the designated plant guy for the biodome greenhouse
