Robby wrote a letter of recommendation for Langdon without him even asking him to, but he can't seem to be there for Samira and recognize her strengths and be her mentor at all. Interesting.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know she is struggling to choose. She is an R4, she is a senior fucking resident, and he pretends she doesn't exist. Al-Hashimi has been her for a few hours and was already trying to help her and being her mentor.

I guess we're gonna have to wait for the mass casualty of this season to see him going "where's Mohan?" again...

or maybe he'll ask for Whitaker I wouldn't be surprised at this point.

I finished "Funny Story" by Emily Henry a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it. It was my first rom com book in years and my first of her books and I absolutely loved it! It brought back my passion for reading and got me out of my reading slump. I actually listened to the audiobook and it was fantastic, highly recommend, Julia Whelan is a star!

I've been thinking about an adaptation for this book and I have a few ideas in mind, I would love to see these actors portrait these characters and I just wanted to share my thoughts with you all. also because if i see one more fancast with logan lerman, dylan o'brien or any talentless popular white girl I'm going to lose my mind you all are so fucking boring jesus christ

I've seen a lot of "Alicent is getting a taste of her own medicine" takes.

Important thing that's obvious but the general public lacks media literacy:

Alicent was never against a woman on the throne, and Alicent never wanted Aegon on the throne, but she thought that her family would be in danger if Rhaenyra became queen.

That was only confirmed after Driftmark. Her son was maimed by Rhaenyra's bully sons and she not only didn't show an ounce of sympathy but also demanded that Aemond would be sharply questioned aka tortured. That was the moment Alicent realised that her father was right and Rhaenyra would absolutely hurt her kids.

Even if Rhaenyra didn't do anything, which seems to be a theme right now, Daemon definitely would have killed them, let's be honest. Maybe not Helaena but Aemond and Aegon for sure.

So it's frustrating to see people think that Alicent is finally experiencing what Rhaenyra is because my brothers and sisters in Christ this woman has been a pawn to men her entire life, all she knows is misogyny.

She is not upset because now her voice is not being heard, because her voice WAS NEVER HEARD.

She is frustrated because especially now that shit became real, with the dragons involved in the war, they need someone in charge that is not the hot headed man that controls the flying nuke. Yes Aemond seems like a good strategist but he has a temper and might not be the best option as the person no one can say no to right now.

It also doesn't really make sense because they are in two very different places. Even if Rhaenyra experiences misogyny, she is their queen, so they will do what she comands. Which has been happening, they don't agree with her but they are not disobeying her. Alicent on the other hand, has no power, at all, so her voice means literally nothing to them.

So yeah it's interesting to see people saying she is finally experiencing what Rhaenyra is because if any of you can point out to me a moment when her voice was actually heard and opinion considered I would really appreciate it, cause as far as I'm aware

all Alicent has known in her life is disdain

Whenever I doubt myself I remember that there are people with 0 brain cells that are writing the biggest show in the world.

Blood and cheese was terribly done. Absolutely awful writing, especially adding Alicent and Cole at the end, that was ridiculous. To make Daemon want Aemond instead of actually having him order the killing of a boy? I hate how scared they are to make team black bad people. They are all bad people, from both teams. Daemon ordered the murder of a child but these idiots don't want to make team black the bad guys, ever, so let's write him not ordering this and make it another misunderstanding, why not?

Ridiculous.

It's not just about b&c, but their refusal of making team black grey characters, from the start, is so stupid. They can't be villains, they are the heroes, good people suffering an injustice, and we can't have our heroes doing a terrible thing like this!

That is the mentality of a middle school writer working on a kid's play. If you can only write black and white characters you shouldn't be writing for asoiaf.

The interesting part of the story is that they are all doing bad things, that's why fans like the book so much, cause it's fucking interesting to see them all doing bad shit.

I'm not upset cause I'm team green, I just hate bad writing so much...

Yes I'm aware that Daemon smirked when the guy asked what to do if they can't find Aemond, probably telling them to get one of the kids instead (but not showing us this of course cause we can't have even more proof that this man is a piece of shit), but that is not the same as him actually ordering the murder of a little boy with his own words as the first choice.

They turned one of the most gruesome and horrible moments in the story into a 3 min point and run moment, with a laughable 'catching your mom having sex is weird right?' ending. This takes away all the pain we are supposed to be feeling in that moment. This takes so much from Helaena as well, what the book describes is so fucking sad and gives her character so much more depth.

I also wish they had given more for Phia to work with, she was incredible but that was a pivotal moment for her character and she deserved to be given more in that scene. And don't tell me they didn't do it like the book because it would be traumatic for the kids because yes it is possible to shoot that with and without the kids, you just have to be specific about the framing and shots you use, it's all about camera work.

Do I understand Helaena dissociation in that moment? Absolutely. Did I want to see a little boy getting his head cut off? Absolutely not, no one did, we are not psychopaths. But it does piss me off that they wrote such a pivotal scene in such a bad way, that was supposed to be red wedding levels of shock and pain, and the most shocking thing was Alicent on top of Criston (good for her tbh she deserves to have fun).

They have been terrible writers from the start, for both teams (Rhaenys in the coronation is pure comedy to me), but this to me is painful how bad it was. The only good thing about that scene is Phia's acting.

Anyway that's just how I feel about it. I have so many thoughts about this but I don't think I'll write more, so I'll just say this:

Don't give up on your dreams guys. Anyone can do it. Anyone.

Ewan Mitchell at CCXP 2023 ❤️

Loud noise warning! The video quality goes to shit when I post but I'll keep trying!

I stopped filming cause they came down and I wanted a picture with them, unfortunately they didn't come all the way over but I got to see them even closer!

Ewan seems really sweet and attentive, in both panels he hugged the hosts hello and goodbye and gave us the warmest smile, he seems gentle and gives this kind and lovely energy

His outfit was stunning, pictures don't do it justice, he looked absolutely incredible

When he came out I immediately remembered his audition story cause that swag, that slow walk, is fucking magnetic. And hot as fuck. I too would cast him as Aemond immediately.

His voice is beautiful. Different than what I expected, his Aemond/Osferth voice is very low and gentle, and in other productions the accent really has my head spinning, but his voice is strong but smooth at the same time I can't explain it

He does pout a lot and it's the cutest thing ever, many times I looked over at him and he was just pouting

He didn't stop looking at the audience, there wasn't a second when he wasn't speaking that he wasn't looking around, winking and smiling at people, pointing at cosplays and fan art, it was really sweet, he seemed to be wanting to take it all in as much as he could, he was looking around smiling all the time

He was engaging with fans quite a lot, he got easily distracted from the interview cause was interacting with the people near him, he was all smiles

His face when Steve said he's team black was hilarious and I can say I'm one of the few that screamed for team green 💚

Loved his answers about Aemond and his story, he looked passionate about the character and you could feel that he loves Aemond and understands him and cares for him

Steve is a sweetheart and such a cool guy, he's really funny and kept pointing at fans and smiling at everyone he gives such good vibes, when he came down you can see in my pictures how close he got to those fans to take a good picture with them it was really sweet

They both were having a great time, that was obvious, and seemed really happy with the fan reception they got (we Brazilians don't play we will love you hard there's a reason everyone loves us) and all you xenophobic motherfuckers that were saying we would make him uncomfortable can suck my dick

If Ewan continues to do press I hope he gets all the love he got from us in other places and that more fans get to meet him, he really is lovely and gentle and deserves all the love we can give him

I hope they come back next year! And with more people from the cast, a girl can dream!

I'm seeing Ewan today. In front of me. I'll see him and hear his voice and I can't believe this is happening, I never thought my brazilian ass would see this man in real life!

I can't believe this, I'm still in shock, he is actually leaving his house and going to an event to promote this fucking show.

Oh we'll treat him so well we brazilians don't play I know he'll be well treated and feel so loved I'm so happy his first fan experience will be with us!! He deserves the world and we'll give it to him!

I wanted to work on an Alys cosplay but gave up cause I have no money for it, that would have been amazing for the panel!
