With the help of Chad + Nikki (Hoku Props) and Sharron (Alfheim Creations), we will be bringing our beloved Dark Lady of the Forsaken to life for this year's Blizzcon! :D

In San Francisco last year, a man stabbed a woman in the face and arm after she didn’t respond positively to his sexually harassing her on the street. In Bradenton, Fla., a man shot a high school senior to death after she and her friends refused to perform oral sex at his request. In Chicago, a scared 15-year-old was hit by a car and died after she tried escaping from harassers on a bus. Again, in Chicago, a man grabbed a 19-year-old walking on a public thoroughfare, pulled her onto a gangway and assaulted her. In Savannah, Georgia, a woman was walking alone at night and three men approached her. She ignored them, but they pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. In Manhattan, a 29-year-old pregnant woman was killed when men catcalling from a van drove onto the sidewalk and hit her and her friend. Last week, a runner in California — a woman — was stopped and asked, by a strange man in a car, if she wanted a ride. When she declined he ran her over twice.

Rage Against the Machine Sharron has been a busy bee over at Alfheim Creations and we are grateful that she's taking on the task of making our Dark Lady's cape and leather leggings (we have no machine here to work with leather). Unfortunately, it seems that during the dying process today, there was a bit of a casualty -- her laundry machine! ::mayor bee:: OAAAAH NOE! Thankfully she has a warranty in place. PHEW! That would have been close! -___-

Since I've started working at my new job, I've gained weight. I love my folk but it's insane how much food is brought in every day. It's sweet, it really is. just with my costuming, I can't afford to gain weight. "Well Krystal, you're being an asshole and body shaming others for their weight." No, I'm not. This is what I prefer for *my* body. You do and be what you like with yours. I don't pay your bills, so why does it matter what I think about what you want to do with yourself? If you're happy then AWESOME :D Just don't hurt yourself or others in the process. And what I mean by "can't afford" is I LITERALLY can't afford to make another costume because of my body changing. A lot of seamstresses tell me it's easier to take in than it is to take out. Last thing I want is to have another suit made and spend money that can go towards something else. Anywho, rather than complain "OH MY WORK IS MAKING ME GAIN WEIGHT," (because they're not by the way, my choices are) I decided to be my own solution and start bringing in "healthy" snacks that I would enjoy for myself. Anyone else that wants to partake is more than welcome to. Today, I brought in hummus, raw veggies, and tortilla chips for those who don't feel like veggies in the early morning. Surprisingly, everyone was happy with what I brought in and that hummus was gone before the meeting was over. I just want to be healthy and feel healthy, rather than gunky. I want to feel like Sylvanas for real when I put all that armor on me. A banshee queen must take care of herself so that she may be able to fight and defend her Forsaken ^___^
