Okay, okay, this is gonna be a long post. And if you don’t like what I have to say in this post, then fucking block me.
Say it with me, folks: BEING A PEDOPHILE DOESN’T AUTOMATICALLY MAKE YOU RAPE CHILDREN!!
PEDOPHILIA IS A MENTAL DISORDER AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH. SAYING ALL PEDOPHILES DESERVE TO DIE IS ABLEIST!!!
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, I have other things to say as well.
Whether or not these specific people did things to harm actual children, I do not know. But what I do know is that you people are demonizing a medical disorder, which is bad!
Paraphilias are mental disorders, nobody CHOOSES to have one and they are actually often caused by trauma. Making people feel shame for something they cannot control is not swag guys! And you don’t have to be a pedophile to rape children, many child predators aren’t actually attracted to the children, it’s just about power.
And most pedophiles don’t rape children at all! In paraphilia space, there are things called “Contact Stances.” There are many contact stances, but I will be focusing on the main 3 for simplicity. There’s Pro-Contact, Neutral Contact, and Anti-Contact. Pro-Contact people believe that you should act on your paraphilias, Neutral-Contact people believe that you can act or not act, it doesn’t really matter. Anti-Contact people believe that you should not act on your paraphilias.
For example: A Pro-Contact Pedophile believes it is okay to rape or otherwise harm children. A Neutral-Contact Pedophile believes you can hurt kids or not hurt kids, doesn’t matter. An Anti-Contact Pedophile believes that you should not rape or otherwise harm children because they cannot consent.
One of the people in the above list LITERALLY have “Anti-Contact” in their thing, c'mon guys. And when people ask for proof that these people have ACTUALLY done things to hurt children, people just say, “They have a pedophile flag in their profile picture!” THAT IS NOT PROOF THAT THEY HAVE HURT CHILDREN!
Sure, the OP said that some of the people listed are apparently known child predators and have harmed children. If that is the case, then sure, let those people burn because there genuinly is not any excuse for that. But like, saying that ALL of them have raped children just because they are pedophiles is bad.
Just to make it clear. I am anti-contact for harmful paraphilias (pedophilia, zoophila, necrophilia, etc). But like, if you don’t like someone and they aren’t actually causing any harm to anyone, just block and move on. Don’t report someone if they haven’t actually harmed anyone.
(If the people listed above have actually tried to or have succeeded in harming children, I do not know. This post mainly is not about them, it is about people’s general additudes towards pedophiles.)
