"Oh, so its okay to write graffiti on 'fascist' property because they come from a different political viewpoint than you? What if a 'fascist' destroyed your property, would it be okay then??"
I mean... im constantly scrubbing slurs off of our pride stuff, and off of public property while being verbally harassed by homophobes in public so its kinda hard to look at this like I threw the first punch, you know?
Whatever, go my slugcats

one time i went to the doctor and said "i think i have some sort of damage in my neck from hurting it on a trampoline as a teen" and the doctor said "no you don't." and i said, "well, the day after i hurt my neck, my bioparents tried to make me climb a mountain because they didn't believe i was hurt, and just a few minutes up the mountain i sat down on the side of the trail because i was in so much pain i couldn't keep walking, and they just left me there, and eventually i forced myself to climb the rest of the mountain because i was terrified they were going to legitimately abandon me on the side of the mountain forever. and i'm here today because it just recently occurred to me that when most people say 'i have a crick in my neck' they mean 'i slept funny and now i'm a little sore' and not 'i'm functionally bedbound at the moment due to severe neck pain'." and the doctor said "you have permanent nerve damage in your neck."
i wish usb ports were several magnitudes larger and made a hefty "kerchunk" sound when you plugged stuff in
I think there’s a conversation to be had about how “animal rights activism” is generally considered the easiest form of activism because it allows one to disconnect themselves from overall societal issues, and it’s why many celebrities consider themselves to be animal rights activists, but due to a complete lack of research and complacency on what animal rights activism actually entails, most of these activists end up doing a lot more harm than good. They’re the people who will only focus on stray dogs and cats during natural disasters or genocides that kill thousands of human beings; or the people who boycott “kill shelters” and replace them with “no-kill shelters” despite the fact that this lack of understanding on how these shelters work directly leads to the deaths of more animals; or the people who replace animal products with “vegan alternatives” that have more impact on the environment than the original products; or the people who don’t understand why the natural next step in Greta Thunberg’s environmental activism was to advocate for Palestine.
Like, animal and environmental rights activism is so misunderstood by the people within the movement who are doing it for all the wrong reasons, and it’s mostly because they do not understand that animal rights and human rights are so intrinsically connected that you cannot seperate the two at all without watering down your activism into a complete nothingburger.
It’s also because they don’t do basic Google searches on how things work either, but that’s neither here nor there.
sold
it didn’t explode lmao. putting this in the kiln felt like I was tempting the kiln gods to bring disaster, but the firing went great
i'm never going to stop feeling mad and betrayed about how level 1/"low support needs" autistics have become the face of autism and gleefully use their privilege over l2/3s to talk over us, pretend we don't exist, and use the slur used to hurt US while pretending it's their word to say. while level 2-3 and "high support needs" autistics have been so erased that a lot of people don't remember we exist anymore and blame us for our symptoms. i've never met a level 2 or 3 autistic who wanted to say the r word. everyone i know like me hates it because it hurts. level 1s can't accept that there are people who are really more disabled by their autism than them TO THE POINT WHERE THEY KEEP SAYING HOW AUTISM ISNT A DISABILITY it's so frustrating!!!! aspie supremacy is a disease. support ppl with high support needs
Liberals will she/her a drag queen consistently and vocally, then immediately they/them a trans woman right in front of you.
It also genuinely really bothers me how so many people's "pro fat" posts are along the lines of "Yeah, fat is fine/good, eat whatever you want as much as you want!" Like yes that's a good sentiment and yes fear of fatness is what causes so many people to eat less than they otherwise would. I Understand This. But it's important to me that people understand. Someone being fat does not actually mean they eat more than a thin person does. Just because you're ostensibly defending or praising the fat body does not mean you aren't partaking in dangerous stereotyping
I wish everyone a very not having to struggle with labels over sex or sexuality or gender too much because for the most part if you feel it you feel it, grab it for yourself. It's not like a job, you can't get fired from being bisexual over not being bisexual enough or whatever, and also if you don't feel it later on it's not some kinda moral failing or deceptive behavior of you keep it or drop it, whatever thing fits you or whatever is good.
But also like, the doorway for being queer is always open, it's serving 24/7, office hours all day everyday, call our hotline day or night.
There’s so much to unpack here:
Pack of Beakers
Goth Beaker
The Beaker snitching and pointing out the photographer
The Beaker that’s about to unload on the photographer
The terminator strut before the ass whooping and you know he’s moving at speed because of the blur
The ominous feeling that you know this is 3 in the morning
Gods I fucking love this post. So hard. Fuck.
it's wild how once you decide that actually someone being fat isn't the scariest, worst possible scenario thing in the world. how so much fearmongering just becomes so absurd and so obvious. from how every conservative comic artist draws their leftist caricatures as fat people to that one family member who won't stop whispering about how complete strangers must be terrible people when all they're using to justify that assumption is their weight to a billion weight loss ads on tv that show you a completely normal looking person and then insist that they're unacceptable to live in society without this miracle drug that'll completely fuck up their body to maybe lose a few pounds. this is crazytown. this is the bad place. what the fuck are you all talking about. it's just being fat.
im kind of obsessed with this graphic.
Today, one of my second graders was working on shape name recognition, and we got to this picture of a pyramid shape with a wide-ish base. When he saw it, his eyes lit up and he turned to me with a huge grin on his face, pointed at it, and said "When the teacher forgets to assign homework" before bursting out into hysterics, covering his mouth and giggling. I don't understand what happened except this kid CLEARLY knows about the strong comedic and memeable value of mathematical shapes and emotions that I, an old millennial, cannot comprehend I did, however, try to recreate this moment as the meme this child must have seen in his head
maybe he was thinking of the dancing triangle meme??
i have seen this gif with that exact caption before. this is absolutely the one he was thinking of
That kid saw one of the simplest geometric shapes and said that's blorbo from my memes 👍
Not even the correct shape. That dancing dude is a triangular prism.
