in fact, while camel meat is mostly lean and tough (still wanna try slow-cooking it tho, i have marinade ideas) a properly-cooked hump is tender, juicy, fatty, exquisite. which is why it's a culinary delicacy in various cultures spanning the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. it is, by all accounts, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. and i am yearning for it.
i want it grilled. i want it roasted. i want it smoked. i want it stewed. I CRAVE THE HUMP.

I don’t even know how to express both the relief and shame in seeing a ceasefire occur now, after all this death and suffering. It didn’t have to be this way. The genocide in Gaza has been practically live streamed for two years and still the world turned its back on the people there. This ceasefire is only the beginning of what will surely be a long fight for a free Palestine and the return of its people. We all need to have hope and, most importantly, do more.

Their stomach is already naturally so round and big that everyone thinks they must have prey in there 24/7. Of course, that's not true. Their stomach has just adapted to holding large prey.
Of course, they've also got a cushy layer of pudge on their belly, perfect for keeping prey in and weighing them down to stop them from squirming. Sometimes it's hard to tell when that big belly actually DOES have someone in there because of that.
The only time it becomes obvious that they've got some morsel trapped in their belly is when their stomach is producing soft gurgles and groans as it works over the prey, squeezing them and churning around them. Later, the prey, who was mysteriously missing for a few hours, shows up somewhere, completely exhausted and drained, and the prey also weirdly looks... skinnier. Odd
