That he's a good person, that he hasn’t taken the lives of many for the fun of it, that you’ll stay here, with him, forever
That you won’t leave him like everyone else around him seems to do
He can pretend that he’s impartial and deserving of your affection all he wants

You see the way his permanent smile seems to falter just slightly when you compliment him, eyes clouding with doubt and insecurity
You can basically hear all of the things going on inside of his head, the way he talks down to himself, the way he brushes off your compliments as nothing more than formalities, things you’re supposed to say to him because you’re in a relationship, not because you actually mean them
It doesn’t matter how many times you try and reassure him, how many late nights you spend trying to prove your undying love, there will always be that voice in his head telling him that he isn’t enough, that he doesn’t deserve you or anything that you give to him
But, if you try hard enough, you might be able to make that voice shut up, even if it is for just a moment

I finally got to leave behind my former place of work, that didn't allow dyed hair, so I did it immediately, and I truly love the results, I missed it so much! But I think I'm still feeling a lil insecure? It's just been so many years since I've gone this bright! So some encouragement/positivity would be nice to read right now ^^ (thank you!!)
Yes! As someone who has not seen their natural hair color in years, I felt this on a deep level. I’m so glad I have a job where my hair color doesn’t matter. I’m sure your hair looks fantastic!

Will do that cute thing where he dyes a strip of his own hair whatever color you’ve got yours so you can be matchy matchy
Will sit there and play with your hair, admiring the color/colors
Would love it even more if you’ve got multiple colors in your hair
When he’s really bored, he’ll have you sit in front of him and he’ll sit there and separate each individual color into different sections, messily plaiting them
Will absolutely help you re-dye your hair, but he’s not great at it
Accidentally gets more hair dye all over the bathroom than in your hair
When you eventually take the dye away from him and end up doing it yourself, he’ll sit on the bathroom sink and just admire you while you bend in unnatural ways trying to get the back of your head

A lot less messy than Toby, but he gives up half-way through cause “his arms hurtt” (its been five minutes, he’s just a sook)

Already loved running his hands through your hair, but loves it even more now that you’ve got colors in it
