Duuuuuuude, this is AWESOME!!!!!
I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream. I know you, the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam.

Love Kennis & Kennis reconstructions of ancient humans. Love the life they give them.

i hate the way fat antagonists have their weight moralized and used as a metaphor for greed and corruption and i hate the way it's overcorrected into fat people being "soft squishy friend-shaped cupcakes who look like they give incredible hugs" and i long for the day we have nuanced, interesting, and complicated fat characters and most of all i long for the day people are normal about fatness
Isn’t it kind of fun how when your life sucks you just can’t talk about it with anyone
I’m serious though. When your life reaches a degree of suckage, you find yourself having to look elsewhere for anything at all to talk about. The things going on in your life are trauma dumping. Your past is probably also trauma dumping. So you have to get really weird about specific things or hope that others want to talk to you, because very quickly people are going to develop an aversion to you and the way your life sucks. Unless you just don’t talk about it
It’s socially isolating, which is dangerous—when you’re in this sort of situation, community is the difference between life and death, housing and homelessness.
I think the collective prioritization of comfort first is hurting people in a real and material sense
Heated rivalry shouldve been about 2 ugly old guys that play mahjong then maybe id consider watching it
i don't remember them playing mahjong but they do other old man things like going to the wet market together and drinking soup and taking walks. anyway go watch suk suk / twilight's kiss
"ok but where's the old chinese lesbians" go watch all shall be well. it's by the same director and the old chinese lesbians are also at the market
that post thats like “how do i know dean’s performing masculinity? because sam isn’t” except “how do i know dean’s in love with castiel? because sam isn’t”
#there’s no fucking WORLD where sam would be on his knees in front of castiel and tearfully confess ‘’i need you’’ #that scene just wouldn’t WORK if it was between sam and cas #why? why wouldn’t it work? SAY IT. OUT LOUD.

The glorious Samarkand!
Ancient buildings are mostly three types: mosques, mausoleums and madrasas (schools). They're typically made of light brown brick and decorated with blue domes and elaborate glazed tiles that make up patterns and Arabic readings from the Quran. They also have intricately carved wooden doors and pillars.
There are many tourists, esp. from Europe (something we don't see in Russia anymore), and many tourists take pictures wearing simplified traditional clothes. Those are sold in abundance in all souvenir shops!
Last picture shows the traditional Samarkand pilaf served in layers on a plate. Out of all pilaf we had during the trip, it was my favourite.
I reblogged this last year and then immediately bought some of this tea and it was the best decision. It is *SO AWESOME* to have a pitcher of Thai tea ready to go in your fridge.
So. Fucking. Delicious.
This is a game changer. I'm going to become 90% thai ice tea by volume by the end of this summer.

Do you want to learn a new language this fall? Help me to help you learn Spanish, Italian, Latin or French 🔔
Been meaning to finally pick up that language but summer is getting away from you?
I'm a licensed languages teacher and I've been teaching since 2017. My mother tongue is Spanish and I'm a self-taught English speaker, with advanced proficiency in Italian and French, mostly self-taught after having lived in these countries. Besides, due to my #specialinterests, I know Latin as well, which I studied for 5 years and I keep reading and translating to this day.
My lessons: 22€ / hour (25$ at the time of posting) for 1-1 lessons. 15€ / hour (17$ at the time of posting) for group lessons (max. 4 students)
Teaching hours → (GMT+2) 9 AM - 8 PM Monday to Saturday / 3 AM – 2 PM (GMT-4) / 8 AM – 7 PM (GMT+1) / 4 PM – 3 AM (GMT+9)
Why choose me?
🎖 Besides having experience teaching, I tailor my lessons to whatever my students are interested in. Conversation-only, vacation-focused classes, reading, reviewing points from your irl lessons, official exam certificates...
🎖 I currently have a full roster of happy, satisfied students, but I have room for a few more and honestly, I need the work. I've been unemployed for 4 years and live on my mother's small widow's pension. I complement the hours I spend job-seeking with my lessons so I can save up and become independent. Booking with me genuinely helps.
🎖 I've been in your situation too: I've learnt these languages myself, so I know what's actually difficult and what you can skip, which means I'll know what you'll struggle with before you do.
🎖 I have a BA in Romance languages and literature and a M.Ed., on top of real teaching experience, and I've lived in Italy, France and Spain (my home country).
🎖 I don't have a website up yet, but if you'd like more credibility before booking, just ask and I'll happily send over my CV or my students' contact.
🎖 Free trial lesson to see if my teaching style works for you!
🎖 Platforms: Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Discord (camera optional).
DM and/or fill out this questionnaire if you're interested.
Hello, thank you for filling this form. If you think I should add another question, let me know @quercucinus.
Reblogging this post helps me a bunch :)
