Sure but he denies he has feelings because he thinks he is an expendable robot to the point that he doesn’t even know.

So X6-88 is probably like, “I need to be around the survivor, not because they can’t take of themselves but because I can learn so much from them. And I have to stay close to inspect their moves sufficiently…”

And try to explain what he is thinking with a logical reason.

the thing about james is that i believe the fallout 3 writers thought they were writing such a great father figure, but he comes off as distant at best, and neglectful at worst. he's so obssessed with his work for project purity that, after the lw saved him from braun, he barely made time to catch up with them and instead went right back to work :/

the "you're still my child and i love you, but i'm so disappointed" line after the lw tells him that they blew up megaton is sooo telling to me. he doesn't care at all!! bro your child BLEW UP A TOWN and that's how you react? hello??? that "i love you" reads as obligatory too 🙄 idk he is just not a good dad!!!!!
