“Fair play, and it’s a nice day out too so tit’s no big deal”
“‘xactly what I was thinking. Easy money, in this economy? Yep, it’s a blessing.”
“Okay.” He muttered under his breath. “I’m fine, I’m fine. Are y-you okay?”
“Didn’t feel a thing there, buddy? Where you off too?”
Maddison: I nées tour Hell fan you coke hère
Maddison: oh fuck my French keyboard was still on
Maddison: fucking autocorrect. anyways i need your help can you come here
Jai: Sounds so much like a booty call.
Jai: Joking. What do you need?
Jacob:…I don’t want 2 sleep will u please watch Star Trek with me
Jai: What?
Jai: Okay. Why Star Trek though?
“I’m so sorry.” Azaiah stated, his voice ringing with it’s natural soft tone. “I-I didn’t mean to run into you.” The male bent over to retrieve the belongings that had scattered on the floor.
“Don’t worry about it, buddy. You okay there?”
Rosemary nods and grabs the corner of the banner “so, whats this whole thing for then?”
“I think it’s for a grocery store? I dunno, I’m getting paid five bucks for this, and it beats staying at home all day.”
♡ -“then don’t. why don’t you ask another one of your loser buddies to help you, or don’t you have any?”
“That’s the problem. Most of my ‘loser’ buddies are in jail or another state away. Too trivial to ask them to come to help on a little banner, y’know?”
“Gross. God, are all people with the last name Cooper just horrible people? Oh, that sounds ominous. Now I’m terrified. But that’s a good thing, ‘cause I need to live it up and be a rebellious teen and hang out with some bad influences,” he said with a toothy grin on his face. “You and me both, bud.” Jacob just laughed at the boy – it was pretty common for people to misunderstand his sarcasm, but he never stopped finding it funny. “Nah, dude, don’t worry, I can tell you bought it yourself. I was just jokin’, you know, cause most people who have their cars bought by daddy are like, born with money in their blood,” he remarked. “Sweet,” Jacob said as opened the car door and slid in. He was pretty excited to hang out with someone other than Xander for once. This’ll be fun, he thought to himself.
“Is there anything called middle class over here? Either you’re bleeding Ben Franklins, or you’re dirt. I don’t get it, and I don’t think I ever will.” Jai wasn’t used to a lot of luxuries; his mother blew most of their money on chasing the next high, and he learned to make do with whatever he could at hand. After she was gone...it was a different story. “On we go. To a lesbian karaoke bar. Man, that sounded much better in my head.”
“No, I’m not sure what part of this conversation made you think I would”
“You were telling me about your face being on the poster, and as far as I can tell, it’s not here. So I’m assuming you’d want to help. Really bro, haven’t you been keeping track of this conversation?”
“Well, you were wrong. I don’t get anything out of it, so the way I see it, there’s nothing “nice” about helping, and I have no reason to do it.”
“Don’t mind me asking, but when was the last time you had something sweet? Because your words are super bitter and I don’t think that’s a good thing. Might even be a medical condition.”

“Maybe not this time, but I’m sure you’ll be hanging one with me on it soon enough”
“Yeah, probably. So, you helping out or what?”
Jacob gasped for a dramatic effect. “Only friend? Oh, I’m so honored for this achievement. I’d like to thank my sister for helping me become the person who I am today, and my math teacher in 5th grade for ever doubting me, screw you Mrs. Cooper,” he joked. “And fair enough, honestly. That’s true, I tried once to work out alone when I was 15 and I just felt like an idiot. And no, I’m paying for myself ‘cause I don’t need to feel like your sugar baby.” Jacob got in the car, and felt relaxed right away – it reminded him of his ugly 2005 Toyota Camary. “I can totally tell your dad bought this for you,” he joked. “Let’s get this show on the road then, shall we?”, he said with a smile.
“I knew a Mrs. Cooper. She was pretty fucking racist, so yeah screw you Mrs. Cooper. Also, enough with the fanfare. Being my friend doesn’t end very well for people.” Jai wished he could have been joking about that, but he wasn’t. Shaking his head, the boy stifled a chuckle. “No way in hell would I ever be a sugar daddy. You need cash for that kinda stuff. And this baby? Bought it with my first keep. Yeah, my dad helped pick a model, but it’s basically mine, so...” He shrugged, opening the door to the driver’s seat. “Yeah, come on.”
“Oh!” Rosemary rushes over to help “sure, sorry. I’m such a scatter brain just stood here staring at you!”
“Nah, don’t worry about it. Here we go, grab that corner won’t you?”
