Men... From my own experience, I would advise you to not date a woman fresh off of a long-term relationship. That's double if she had a child by that man. The reasons are many but simple in plain, you are more than likely the rebound guy or the guy who will end up in a “situationship” with her for a while until you both realize the situation is going nowhere. Trust me, it’ll be better for you both to be just friends or avoid each other altogether, but DONT DO IT! There’s plenty more mermaids in the sea.

A wrinkle in Time

Memories: a gift and a curse.

Like that 1st high on cloud nine,

Americans dropped the ball wayyyy before 11/9

Last night I saw Hillary Clinton supporters devastated, and I honestly don't feel bad for them. They let their judgments be clouded by the possibility of history being made or for God knows what reason. They ignored the many lies and inconsistencies and also supported her through pathetic pandering. We had a solid candidate in Bernie Sanders who on paper would've destroyed Trump, but people's superficial views of him (because he looked old) purported them to put all their eggs in Hillary's basket. And unfortunately, they lost BIG! This is not an attempt to bash or drag Hillary in her time of defeat but to bring light to the fact that Americans have to relinquish their egos and focus more on coming together for the greater good of the country. Unfortunately, it’s a bit too late because everyone deepest fears have actually come to fruition. All Hail Drumpf!

To Whom It May Concern...

I hear people say they're tired of slavery movies, but we need every reminder of how easily the powers that be manipulated the masses into believing we weren't even human. That we were deserving of the hate and brutality our ancestors endured day in and year out. This is so that for the many generations to come, as a "race" we will never fall victim to that type of ideology again. People want to just act like racism or supremacy doesn't exist until your so called "friends" have to choose sides.. I wish on a grand scale we could end the idea of “race” and usher in a new era of peace, unity and equality but since that’s not the case, we have to continue to educate and implement our past history into our youths minds. Never forget what this country is capable of. Never.

If you don't know sign language, communicating with someone who is hearing impaired can be a challenge. Today, two University of Washington sophomores were awarded a prestigious $10,000 prize for their invention, which makes understanding sign language easier. Thomas Pryor and Navid Azodi are two tech savvy sophomores who like to invent. Pryor and Azodi met in a University of Washington dorm. One is an aerospace engineering major and the other is a business major. Together, they came up with a pair of gloves that do the talking for the wearer by translating American Sign Language. The idea is to provide a way for people who are hearing impaired or mute to communicate with people who don't know American Sign language. "There's a huge disconnect and we wanted to be a bridge between that gap," Azodi says. Sensors on the hands and wrist measure hand position and movement - those signals are sent via bluetooth to computer program Pryor wrote that translates American Sign Language into speech played back on a laptop. Eventually, the speech will be played back on a smartphone. The device is a prototype the pair built at the university's Commotion Makerspace.

These men were kidnapped, tortured and experimented on by the CIA. James E. Mitchell and Bruce Jessen, the two psychologists who created the U.S. torture program, are being sued by the ACLU on behalf of the victims. This is the first time anyone involved in the CIA torture program will have to answer for their actions in a federal courtroom.

At the memorial for Phife Dawg, Kanye West speaks on what "A Tribe Called Quest" meant to him and what the legendary group did for the music industry. he discussed Phife’s legacy and how Tribe influenced his own personality and worldview. The film depicts a conversation between Gregory and Shawn (not necessarily playing themselves) in a chic restaurant in New York City. Based mostly on conversation, the film's dialogue covers such things as experimental theatre, the nature of theatre, and the nature of life, contrasting Shawn's modest, down-to-earth humanism with Gregory's extravagant spiritual experiences. Gregory is the focus of the first hour of the film as he describes some of his experiences since he gave up his career as a theatre director in 1975. These include working with his friend Jerzy Grotowski and a group of Polish actors in a forest in Poland, his visit to Findhorn in Scotland and his trip to the Sahara to try to create a play based on The Little Prince. Perhaps Gregory's most dramatic experience was working with a small group of people on a piece of performance art on Long Island which resulted in Gregory being (briefly) buried alive on Halloween night. The rest of the film is a conversation as Shawn tries to argue that living life as Gregory has done for the past five years is simply not possible for the vast majority of people. In response, Gregory suggests that what passes for normal life in New York in the late 1970s is more akin to living in a dream than it is to real life. The movie ends without a clear resolution to the conflict in worldviews articulated by the two men. Shawn reminisces during a taxi ride back home about his childhood and mentions that when he arrives at home he tells his girlfriend Debbie about his dinner with Andre, as Erik Satie's Gymnopédie No. 1 plays in the background.
