Uploaded chapter 20! GO READ RIGHT MEOW I think Steph fans might really like this one, plus she gets a bonding moment with Alfred. This chapter was mostly from her perspective so not much from others here, but Barry shows up for a bit with some of the JL.

It's been a hot minute.... I swear I haven't lost interest in making this fic, I just don't have the ability to like carry my pc around to write and edit (that's where I do all of this fic writing now...)
I'll probably figure out how to keep this on the go later in the future, but today is not that day.

Currently working on chapters that are heavily connected, so I'm making sure I don't make some random plot hole by accident.
Also working on how to characterize those who are important to the current arc. I am loving the comments that everyone has left on my fic. 🥰 All of you are so sweet and I enjoy interacting with everyone. (I tell my friends about the sweet comments all the time.) Image below is how I feel from all the love and support.
It makes me want to upload spoilers because I'm a yapper by heart, and I want everyone to know just how much I think about the direction of the story even if I'm not writing or editing daily. Anyway, here's a drawing I made of Steph as Robin idk how long ago.
Side note I want to talk more about the fic and what I'm working on... But idk if anyone would be interested since I normally do things monthly on ao3 and I uh... I neglect my account here... cough... I just want an excuse to yap.

Summary:
AU: Jason somehow managed to survive the Joker and retired as Robin and Tim was never needed by Batman. --- When a trip overseas during the holiday season ended up with Tim and his parents getting kidnapped, Tim found himself having the worst day of his life. It ended with Tim's mom dying and it left Tim's father in a coma. Tim was heavily injured and a bit scarred from the encounter... but at least Batman and Batgirl saved him and his dad.
Despite not being a Bat or a hero Tim still found himself in strange situations. Such as when he went to Paris when his dad, Jack was still in a comatose state and met three strange people that ended up with him sneaking alongside them.

I am a believer in the Ao3 fic writer curse, but also sometimes I just get that lucky after moments of weakness probably connected to being a Ao3 author.
Crazy how I have so many tabs open just so I can have information I need for my fics at the ready... Including the small notepads full of information for very specific things on my fics I basically have tabs open irl on my desk too...
None of that saves me from losing my notes or tabs btw, but I know for a fact I'm not the only one who does this. So that at least comforts me a bit... Until I need a specific note or tab and I can't find it so all I can assume is that the backrooms took it from me or something. Just like it took my pen. I want it back. I want my pen back.

Please give me my pen back, the one I use for my mushroom notepad. The replacement pen is good but not it's not the same without the original.

I have dozens of AO3 tabs open on my phone. Many of them are my comfort fics that I’ll read at any given time on any given day if I just want to.
And I realised today that if something I write becomes a permanent tab on someone’s phone or computer, then the hours and hours of work and time and tears I spent creating it will be well worth it.
So, write the thing. It’ll mean something to you, and you never know what it could wind up meaning to someone else.

I made a fic, hope ppl will find it here on tumblr... or maybe the bots will find this first and upload this on tiktok or something. (Idk how tumblr bots work.) This is very much a Tim centric fic, but we do have Pov switches during the story.
