I just want to point out, because a lot of people aren’t aware, that this production company and all it’s dancers are a genuine bonafide Chinese cult. Just google ‘Falun Dafa’ and have a cursory read, and you’ll immediately understand. The guy that founded their “faith” in the 90s was a horrid racist and homophobic prick, and if you see these dance shows they are subtly laden with insidious propaganda.

It’s a deception under the promise of “traditional chinese dance and folklore” – but it’s not just that. The shows often feature segments that include the Chinese Communist Party – clad in ridiculous black leather jackets – menacing onto the stage and kidnapping the ‘innocent and faithful’ Falun Dafa for organ harvesting. The show I attended had a male opera singer come onto the stage and sing about evolution being an evil idea and it was created to lead us all astray.

Holy shit they’re not just a cult, they’re a flat-out Heaven’s Gate style UFO apocalypse cult with a messianic leader/figurehead and everything.
