For an agonizing few seconds, we silently stand watching each other, the pressure of unsaid words hanging between us. The ghost of us, what we could have been, had I made a different decision by those train tracks, pulses around us. Sometimes, I ask myself if I made the right choice that day. It’s times like these where I almost come up with a different answer.

IRRECOVERABLE is Pt. 2 of INEVITABLE

Hijacked, tortured, bitter, and full of rage, Peeta Mellark was hurled back in time, determined to be the sole victor of the 74th Hunger Games. But no matter how hard he tried to fight it, he fell in love with the Girl on Fire all over again. Maybe he never stoped. And this time, Katniss wasn’t the only one who caught President Snow’s attention.

With the second Quarter Quell approaching, Peeta must now use his fuzzy knowledge of the future to help the looming rebellion, warn District Twelve of the firebombs, and prepare to enter yet another arena. All while trying to ignore the tug in his chest always drawing him back to her.

Peeta doesn’t plan on making it out of these final Games alive. He would rather die than give the Capitol another chance to recapture him and turn him into something he’s not. This time, victory isn’t about winning. It’s about finally showing them that he’s more than just a piece in their Games.

Writers cannot watch a movie normally. we are sitting there going "oh that's the inciting incident" and "they introduced that object too early it's obviously coming back" and "this dialogue is doing three things at once good for them" while everyone else is just. watching the movie. having a normal experience. feeling feelings without labelling them. i envy that so much and i would never give it up.
