This has had me absolutely captivated for the past few weeks. Every chance I have got I’ve been on this game grinding it. It is literally - as the first was - fallout new vegas in space. I loved there was no weight cap (unrealistic but so good when you’re a hoarder like me). The game employs a karma like system where your choices affect the story, your alliances affect the story and your choices can make companions refuse to join you. Pick your faction or stay neutral which is the tactic I employed. I anticipate DLC and I’m very excited at that prospect.

So when I finished Outer Worlds 2 I spotted this on Epic Games on discount for a fiver!! Combining my love of animation, particularly old school black and white ones with my love of horror and creepy disgusting things. You start completing normal household chores as a child with wha appears to be an abusive father and a mother that isn’t around at the moment but left you notes. The theme is “be good” and avoid being punished. It was a good little play for a few days, definitely worth grabbing it on that sale.

I tried out Tunche off tha Game Pass. It was a fun little game, you can play as multiple characters each with their own attacks and skills but a shared use of power ups that you can level up with earnings from each run. Each run gives you the choice to choose how to advance based on the reward each gate offers at the end of a level, eventually leading to a boss battle. It did get a bit repetitive though I will say, the enemies are tedious to kill even when I’ve fully ranked my character up. Definitely different as whist it looks like a 2D scroller you can move in all directions, I did find frustration when my attacks didn’t connect but other than that it plays very nice.

Void Bastards was one I have on Steam. You play as rehydrated prisoners (multiple as you transfer to the next one when you die), who are being used to scavenge ships the universe to help the ship - S.T.E.V. - to get what it needs. Avoiding or blasting pirates, fighting sci fi humanoid like creatures on the ships building and upgrading weapons along the way. I sunk so much time into this, even bought the DLC for the extra gun to fully max it out. There is a sequel to this called Wild Bastards, this in the Wild West? I’ll be off to buy that.

Spent an evening with the Deadtime Defenders.

A little freebie game on the Epic Games Store, side scrolling shooting, silliness and comedy. I enjoyed playing through the short story and then trying to collect better loot and level things up. I did feel like I was done with it after 1 evening though, may revisit at a later time as a stress reliever.

I also had a bash at Relic Hunters Legend.

A cheeky Xbox Game Pass find, this one is more of a top down shooter. I did find the gameplay easier with a keyboard and mouse than with a controller with my Handheld, it has vastly increased accuracy that way. You have the ability to play as all the characters all with different skills, you need to switch between them to take on specific missions to advance forward and help the protagonist recover his memory on who he is and what his mysterious object is.

Another game I had fun with, I sank a few weeks into progressing the story and upgrading all my characters armour and weapons. I haven’t quite finished the story I found my interest dwindled after being very intensely invested, I will return to polish it off though after a little break.

Saw this in the cinema, really enjoyed it HOWEVER, I did feel it was a bit lazy, everything is absolutely chaotic and gory but I dunno I could poke a few holes in it, it didn’t matter that I could but I just felt the story was a touch lacking.

Chris Evans is getting around a lot these days isn’t he! Was absolutely gripped with this I was so invested in the story and unsure as to what o actually believed. The ending however, felt a little rushed. It like dropped a lot in very quickly and then very abruptly ends and I still have questions. I feel that was the point and the vision they had but it doesn’t feel like closure for me and I don’t feel like there could be another season feasibly. Had a few shows like this lately and I don’t know what it is that I’m searching for but I always thing I’ve found it until the end of a season.

Of course I got hooked in, the original power rangers was a huuuuge part of my childhood. Overall, this wasn’t really necessary, I really enjoyed it and it gave me a really big nostalgia trip, but we’ve lost Thuy Trang and Jason David Frank (RIP) even though when he was alive he turned this down alongside Amy Johnson which I respect because they were keeping the original series sacred by not revisiting it. The story was good however as an adult it’s not the same feeling as seeing this as a kid. I would recommend watching it just for a trip down memory Lane if nothing else but for those of you wanting to keep that part of your lives sacred, probably not the best idea for you.

You gotta pay attention to this one, so many twists turns and paths it tries to take you down all the way through to the very end. Sometimes you may feel slightly lost but stick with it because all will soon be revealed. Can you figure out what really happened?

Why does everything have to be so hard? And so heavy? Why can’t I just feel desirable, in fact scratch that, how about just human? I feel like everything is such hard work. I never know where to start, I haven’t been this low for such a long time, and I thought I was getting better too. Is this just my life? I don’t feel important, valued, worthy of any kind of joy or happiness. And I don’t know what to do about it. I feel like I’m not even the main character in my own story anymore, I lost me, and I hope I can find myself again.

ANOTHER ONE!!! What on Earth man, why have there been so many of these!!! Dirty people using the religion blanket to enable abuse to continue unquestioned!!! Absolutely boils my blood, but I have no doubt that more are to follow, there’s probably many more active right now we don’t know about yet! I’d say I’ll pray for people but, maybe I won’t. Just keep being kind to people and be on your guard folks.

What the actual fuck man, just when you think you’ve heard everything more crazy shit comes to the surface. This is religious ideation pushed to a complete different level. 51 days?! 51 DAYS PEOPLE. Trying to execute a warrant and ending up with a ridiculous gunfight. Honestly you have to watch this if you don’t know the story because I’m at a loss for words.

Got around to getting to the cinema to see this! Thank God for Groupon and they’re 5 tickets for 20 quid grab them while you can! Loved Scream when I was younger and it’s my partners all time favourite film so obviously expectations were high but there was anxiety. Definitely the best one released in recent years, amazing twists and turns, highly recommend to the horror buffs out there!!

Got to give a spotlight shout out to Ted Lasso, got 3 months of Apple TV with my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and this came highly recommended, and I can see why!! I’m so looking forward to season 3 starting this week now that I’m all caught up, especially after watching Welcome to Wrexham and following Rob and Ryans takeover this is a feel good show.

Well I for one loved the PPV. The 4 way tag match was absolutely brilliant, the trios match was phenomenal and I’m excited to see what it means for The Elite going forward! The triple threat match for the Women’s was good but the spray paint thing really ain’t working for me, DX did it a lifetime ago and the L really needs changing but I’m probably nitpicking. The main event was a bit of a long one for me, good but I’ve never been one for Iron Man matches, good was to finish it off mind you! And Moxley Hangman, I dunno man I’m sick of blades they didn’t really need it here, few botched but it was okay. Looking forward to Dynamite!

Well, what a PPV that was!! Cannot believe Shevchenko has finally been dethroned, what a champ she was but she got well and truly caught. Jones finally returns and smashed through Gane to grab the heavyweight title in 1 round?! Absolutely shocking scenes but damn, in spite of what’s happened in his personal life in the past the dude is a dominant fighter through and through isn’t he?!
