Dev patel was right there btw. If she needed a casting that guaranteed her an audience, he wouldve been the best choice. Especially because she REALLY wanted this adaption to be erotic and that barbie lady had to be in it. I think majority would’ve even overlooked these objectively bad choices and her stupid excuse of “this is an interpretation and I wish this would’ve happened in the book”

And, after my musings a while ago that went about like this: 'Timothee Chalamet is not a bad actor per say, but he is nothing special, and imagine how much better even Dune would be if they cast an actor who, you know, has charisma.
