We are living a busy world where most of us have to go to school, to work, or take care of families. Thus, our work and our responsibilities occupy a majority of time we have every day. Some people even think human beings work like a machine in this busy world. They don’t have enough time to think…
in effect, the course of our life have been dominating by our busy schedules. I do agree that human relationships are very important because our nature is to live in society, in partnership. I have several friends on their sixties who are lonely and depress. Although they seem to enjoyed their their solitude they ended up admitting that a companion will bring them happiness.
Isn't is horrible how fast our perception changes with technology causing the populous to drive harder and harder. I wish we could all take a break from it.
People from the third world countries travel to a different part of the world due to war, poverty, or lack of employment in their country, legally or illegally. Some countries welcome those people and treat them like their own citizens and give them every opportunity to let them contribute to…
I have a great friend from Ethiopia and she explains the brutality of most of these incidents that occur each day in the view of a non-responsive public. The Inhumane treatment is based on their control and overwhelming religious mentality which seems to run as a governing method that ignores the human factor as a consideration for respect for others. This is what tirany is all about, power blinds the public to the injustice played out each and everyday against hard working foreigners. Foreigners are considered a useless and disposable asset that the government that are providing these visas know very well the issues these people are facing on their soil, but they look away and ignore it. Many people wonder why would someone try to live a different life away from their country but i know that the fact of countries that have a low end of subsistence have little choice. I just believe that the abuse the Saudi government is partaking on people that want to make a better living is absolutely shameful and despicable. And to think I’m heading there next year for deployment. Definitely agree that the U.S government should place strict opposition on this matter.
It is so sad to learn that the ones with power and money instead of compromising and nurture the people that served them chose to abuse them and ignore that they are human and deserve respect. Most of the people who’s life have been rather fortunate seem to forgot that life goes around and what you give you received.
I agree there seems to be a spike in intolerance. It's sad. They blame the poor they blame everyone, but themselves for what's happening. People need to be shaken and told hey we are people here.
I have always a hard time trying to find what to write about. In my first paper, sources was my main challenge. I intended to revise my work but did have much time and got sick. With this second research paper I was able to find more reliable sources after debating what to write about. Choosing a…
Nowadays, we are facing a lot of problems in every aspect of life such as education, politics, economics and health. For my paper two, I decided to write about obesity, which is one of concerns of health-related problem. I think I could find many sources of this topic since it is a quite common...
The research process for the second paper is much easier than the first paper. I have developed some experiences; starting from what topic to choose, differentiate what source is more credible and acceptable for this class, and I am able to manage my time.
When I was writing the first paper, I...
Any form of communication, whether it is verbal, non-verbal, or written is a form of “TEXT”. It is anything that can be interpreted and have meaning to the person who is interpreting.
Being touched by your significant other, usually have a different meaning than being touched by a casual...
First of all, when I decide to write about any topic, I will think if that topic is controversial enough to talk about. I do not want my topic is too narrow, because I will run out of idea to develop my essay. I will do some research about my topic on google to make sure that I will have enough...
In my opinion, text can refer to anything and is a set of arbitrary symbols and texts are used to convey something. We see texts every day and everywhere with or without even noticing it is a text. Writers and journalists use texts to write books, newspapers, or journals. In this case, texts are...
I agree video is a powerful text as they say a picture is worth a thousand words, well a video is worth millions. Video can convey ideas very efficiently.
Disease is running rampant throughout their population. Birth defects and cancers are on the rise. Even with these issues blatantly staring them square in the eye, humans choose to bicker and fight with themselves. The rich and powerful arguing for advancement at any cost, while the suffering masses endure the consequences of this conquest. The human race continues to witness dramatic weather changes triggering undeniable environmental changes. The humans boast about their advancements in technology, while failing to admit to them-selves they are destroying the very planet they live on. To busy counting corporate profits, as they destroy themselves and their customers in the process. Blinded by money corporations fail to notice their money train will come to an end, if their customers perish.
We are shocked to watch modern man ignore the warnings given to him by his ancient ancestors. On one hand, the human race is intelligent enough to sift through the sands of their past, rooting out the answers to their questions. On the other hand, humans fail to recognize the destruction to their own environment. Humans are constantly reminded of great catastrophes endured by their early ancestors. Yet, humans continue to dis-regard these warning signs. Leading us to believe, the human race will continue the trend of past civilizations, ending earlier than expected because they failed to keep the balance of nature in mind, while reaching their full potential. With this in mind, we aliens will continue to remain at a safe distance, while observing your species. Hopefully, one day the human race will be ready to change the path they are on and turn the tide of mankind’s future.
I have never planned anything I have ever written. I write in a stream of conciseness, what comes to my mind I write. Being corralled into a rigid planning sequence is contrary to my style of writing. However I do go back to reorganize and edit what I have written if it is needed.
That's a cool topic. You could also mention the private companies headed to space that should provide plenty of material. There are a few billionaires racing to get space contracts. This topic is currently in the news. It is very relevant. I hope I helped some.
After few years in college, I have some little experiences of writing an essay for myself. In the very first moment, I usually write about what I like. However, in the writing process, I realized that the topics which I picked are lack of support, interesting to myself but not to others, very...
Interesting topic. I agree a notebook has its advantages. The argument would be. How to make it more superior to a book. Books can be red just about anywhere anytime. You can highlight text, right in the margins. The other drawback is there are not that many books translated into ebooks yet.
Now the strong argument for you is. People like me have trouble reading books with small text. Ebooks allow me to increase the font so I can read it. If I find myself in that position I have had to purchase both the book and the ebook for that very reason.
I hope I helped give you some insight. How people might react to your topic.
I have been struggling with my topic because it has become a very sensitive issue of late.
The topic: “Stand Your Ground, Is it Murder?
I have been so haunted by the situation in Florida with the Trayvon Martin case. I have asked myself over and over, how society allows this to happen”. I...
Strongly committed to our second amendment this law puzzles me too. Most self-defense shooting take place within seven yards. Nine times out of ten both shooters are so pumped with adrenaline they both miss. These incidents happen what too fast to be confused with "stand your ground". I welcome learning more about this subject. Great topic!

Cybercrimes – educate the reader How many of us even know what cyber security is, or how these crimes affect public sectors, private sectors, and the military. We hear this term thrown around quite a bit these days. Fearing the worst, it took me sometime to embark on a quest to understanding this term and its effects on societies, companies, and even nations.
Comprehension of this topic cannot take place without first examining cybercrime. Cybercrime leaves its mark on all of us, eventually affecting anyone at any age. The list of cybercrimes is quite extensive. Expanding our knowledge on these crimes and how they are committed will put this issue into perspective. Educating ourselves about the dangers presented to citizens utilizing digital technology.
II. Explain Cyber-espionage – how it is carried out, buy whom, the effects on military and economy I, consider cyber-espionage to be the most dangerous crime. Cyber-espionage is essentially spying on a nation to retrieve covet government secrets. The chain of events set into motion when this crime is committed can cripple countries. Several skunk work projects have been scrapped as a direct result of cyber-espionage.
Theft of secret government projects through the World Wide Web doesn’t seem too horrific. Broken down into its individual elements is frightening. First, the government paid millions of dollars designing the project. Second, contractors that cannot develop the lost projects, lose money, resulting in layoffs. Third, increased unemployment results to lower tax revenue generation. Fourth, undeveloped plans mean no military surplus to sell for revenue after we develop newer technology. Fifth, stolen military plans lead to other countries developing this technology, weakening our ability to defend our country III. Explain Legislation – Bills in the house, major issue holding everything up Several bills have been killed in the senate. The house has passed several only to be thwarted by the senate. Since, no government entity can agree on the bill. President Barrack Obama penned an executive order providing some support for the topic. Guided by his advisors the president did not to sign the executive order because it violates citizen’s rights. America still does not have a complete directive outlining regulations on cyber- security. The privacy act prevents the cyber-security issue from being addressed. Solving this problem is critical. Policing the internet provides its challenges the right to privacy is a huge barrier to overcome.
IV. Explain effects on national security – how that effects everyone The effects of cyber-crime will reach every single one of us in our lifetime.
Its effects can be felt by all of us today. Two high profile projects have been scrapped by our military recently reducing America’s economic and military strength. Banks are reporting millions of electronic robberies due directly to cyber theft or credit card fraud. Citizens are having their identities stolen daily, losing their entire lives.
Cyber – crimes cause tremendous damage to private lives, company’s bottom line, and the countries security. Freedom is at stake. The numerous negative effects resulting in monitory loss takes a heavy toll on society as a whole. We need to work together and apply pressure to our representatives to reach an agreement on a solid cyber-security bill. I, feel this is a terrific current event that affects everyone.
Cyber-security is a topic that should be taken seriously. Education is the key to solving this issue. The more people know and understand this issue, the more people will pressure our government to remedy the issue. The outline presented covers the topic in a logical manner. The thesis contains the outline to be followed. Thesis statement is strong and condensed straight to the point. Keeping my reader interested, while avoiding too much technical jargon will lead to a successful paper. It is my belief this paper can only be organized in one fashion. It has to be presented in chronological order. Any other order would bring confusion to an already complex problem.
The highest hurdle to overcome with this subject is overcoming the intangibility of the subject. Since you cannot see, hear, or touch the internet people have trouble grasping these concepts. I will rely on Ethos, Pathos, and Logos to both peak my readers interest and to convince them they need to react to this issue. This process educated me on the process needed to create a solid paper. Asking for the re-evaluation of the thesis statement, helped me remain calm and continue refining the statement until it was strong and direct. While taking this time I uncovered using the thesaurus to upgrade/update certain words. I discovered by using the thesaurus I can choose words that control the emotion in the text. Control over the emotion gives the writer a strong tool to evoke emotion in the reader. Subtle word choices improve your integrity to your reader.
