The following are some tips to promote your Computer Repair business, regardless of what you specialize in.
1. Don’t Be Afraid
It’s cliched, but failure is a part of life. If you don’t put yourself out there and just go for it sometimes, you may end up with more regret than you previously had before.
When an opportunity presents itself, take it and make the most of it, only then will you have the courage to move on and keep learning
Don’t let fear paralyze you, use that energy to create something positive and use it to push yourself into the unknown
2. Use Craigslist Efficiently
Craiglist Computer Services section is a goldmine if utilized effectively, and efficiently
DO NOT create your ad in all caps as this will immediately throw people off
Limit your posting to once a day and include a well design picture of your logo and anything else you might want to upload, BUT KEEP IT PRETTY, nobody wants to look at some lame clip art from 98 of a jpeg computer
Make your ad look like a resume, it should be crisp, to the point with a list of all the services you offer; use borders, proper paragraph spacing and develop a fluidity to the flow of text

Introduction to who? If that's what you thought when you saw the title of this article, then it's written for you.
"Here's the deal, Windows users [2]: the command line is your friend. But the Windows command line? It's a really bad friend. You know, the kind that would ditch you in a minute if he got an offer to hang out with someone cooler, the kind who re-gifted that Chia pet from Cousin Jeb for your birthday, the kind who sticks you with the bill every time. With friends like that, who needs enemies? If you want to overclock your computing experience at a command prompt on your Windows PC, you need Cygwin."
Awesome tutorial.
Exactly what I was looking for.
We've talked before about the things every computer user should know how to do, but we geeks are special: we want to go above and beyond, to explore every nook and cranny of our system and make everything easier. Here are ten ways to do just that.
Sometimes when we use our computers for prolonged periods of time, especially when using web browsers, P2P software, online games and the like, malware and third party software can be installed unknowingly on our machines. Sometimes this software can be benign, simply as a harmless add-on from some application you recently downloaded.
Sometimes not. Sometimes malware “infects” your machine. A term we use to describe when the computer is bogged down from the ‘pressure’ of the bad piece of software. Your computer may exhibit the following symptoms:
Slow click reaction timing
Weird mouse movements, automatic keyboard character entries
Strange pop-ups or dialog boxes
These are just some tall tale signs that your computer needs some help, so next we shall continue with a brief guide on how to get rid of some of these symptoms which is slowing down your computing performance!
Everyone has tools they just can't live without. We all have the basics like screwdrivers and pliers, but we'll bet there are other, less traditional tools in your toolkit. Maybe a specific multi-tool, a special screwdriver, or a perfectly-sized spudger. Whatever it is, let's build a list of those awesome tools so none of us have to re-discover them.
