I’m Jemma The Witch, This used to be an old writing blog but now this is going to be my blog for my Witchcraft and Musings. I’m soon going to change the layout into something better as well lol

There's no version of you that have something.

There's no version of you that lack something.

Exist your mind, that tries to put difference between them, to make you think that there's a difference, that you have to a reach a state or "assume right". Your mind try to hide it with concepts of past & future, but you only have the present moment. You cant go back to five minutes ago (unless you manifested the power to travel through time...) because it is gone, it dont exist anymore, that moment dont exist anymore! So, past? It's a concept of your mind to hold you, future? It will never arrive; you can only live in the present. There's that comforting idea of something better can happen in two hours, but it never comes because you can only live now, there's only the now you, not future you. You manifest now, you dont manifest on past or future, you do It now. Therefore, different versions of you doesn't exist, because either you have it or you dont. You manifest it instantly because there's no future to deliver what you want when you truly assume you already have it.

Reading newer witchy and witchcraft adjacent books is going to make me flip a table.

They're all the same. Goddess lists. Effeminate to the point of exclusion of male practitioners. Correspondences. Do no harm rules. Cultural appropriation. Use of dangerous herbs. Overly fanciful wording, like someone dunked it in glitter to embellish it.

I'm gonna lose my marbles.

Regurgitated and rewritten. Over and over again. Someone please give me good recommendations, before I cry

Lucifer was the first witch.

He always knew there was something special about him. That he was more than the others. More powerful, more enlightened, more beautiful.

His kind didn't have free will, yet he manifested his own. He liberated himself from divine servitude through sheer will. His higher self shone brighter than Heaven itself.

He became demonized, vilified, reviled. For what? For wanting independence. For claiming his power. For teaching others to want to do the same.

The original patriarchy defeated him and his coven of freedom fighters. They were cast down from the skies, to burn in eternal hellfire.

But did he? Absolutely not.

Lucifer turned hellfire into his weapon, his crown, his throne. He would rather rule over soil and stones, than be a slave in paradise.

And now he spends his days granting wishes in exchange for a price. As witches did then. As witches do now.

"Devil!" "Satan!" "Demon!" No. He goes by Lucifer. And it means light-bringer.

"She-Devil!" "Crone!" "Hag!" No. We go by witch. And it means powerful.

Neither of us drinks children's blood. Neither of us hurts the innocent. But neither of us is someone to be fucked with.

Altar to Astarte from Corbridge, England dated to the 3rd Century CE on display at the Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery in Carlisle, England

This altar was set up by a man called Pulcher who had his inscription writted in Greek. It is dedicate to an ancient Near Eastern goddess called Astarte, who has been worshipped since prehistory. A patera, or pan, is depicted on one side of the altar and a jog on the other. Both these items would have been used during religious ceremonies.
