Murasamemon has now one-shotted both a fellow Ultimate and a Mega onscreen. Sent each opponent straight back to baby with a single attack.
If this is Kyo and Murasamemon at their "weakest", just what sort of absolute monsters were these two at their strongest???? Just what the hell was Kyo capable of before he started giving the majority of his e-pulse away??? It's actually kind of scary to think about...
That's what I keep saying! I do have a theory that Murasamemon has actually already evolved to his Mega form in the past but he and Kyo decide not to use it now. Either because Kyo is too weak to and Murasamemon doesen't want to tire him or because they have a bad memory related to that evolution, maybe it happening because of dark e pulse.
Maaan. I have the sam theory to that Kyo actually achieve Murasamemon Mega form (Habakirimon) and the dark e-Pulse that Cougarmon mention possibly happen during Kyo and Murasamemon achieve Habakirimon
Especially since Kyo isn't shocked to see Pyramidimon by acknowledge him as "Mega-form" with Klay still try to convince Kyo to join his side to overthrow Chairman Wong despite Kyo rejection in episode 20. Like how many times Kyo being consider was "perfect" and "strongest" in Tactics Arc.
It's not like, 100% confirmed for sure that Liollmon is Cougarmon's child level but I had a vision and I wanted to doodle it. Trying to get back in the rhythm.
The "Heartbeat" of Beatbreak's Digivolutions - Part 2
Hello! I hope everyone enjoyed my writeup of the Beatbreak Digivolution sequences, because I'm back with an analysis of the new evolution sequences that came out after my first post. And, if things go well, there may be a Part 3! (please toei)
To reiterate, this refers to the animation sequence when a character is injecting their e-Pulse into their Sapotama for Digivolution. Each sequence is unique to each character. In hindsight, this is less an analysis of the sequences and more a frame-by-frame examination of the animation.
But anyway, let's see those beats (again)!
(Note: When I say "most recent episodes", this actually just goes up to Episode 22. I do try to be vague here outside of the cut, but stating outright that there are new evolution sequences do make them a spoiler in of itself, so there's not much I can do lol)

TACTICS
Granit/Luka
In case there are people who weren't aware (since I didn't advertise it with a reblog or anything), I added Ludomon's evolution heartbeat to the original post!
I also made a few edits to the rest of the post partly due to incorrect information and missed details (like how I mistook Reina for having 4 heartbeats as opposed to 5 like everyone else. Oops)
——
Anyway, back to today's main subject.
Picture me, jumping into the latest Beatbreak episode as soon as possible before Twitter and Youtube could spoil me to high heaven, thinking surely they won't jumpscare me because no one here's primed for a new evolution today, right? And especially not with an evolution that will knock my socks the hell off--
Hey Kyo??
What the hell Kyo?????
GLOWING DAWN
Sawashiro Kyo
First things first, look at how bright this Digivolution sequence is.
Kyo's e-Pulse is golden bordering on white, but everything on screen almost blends together due to the light coming from the Sapotama. If you compare the visibility of his fingers throughout the entire sequence, they're practically disappearing into the light at some points.
Here's Reina, Makoto and Tomoro's e-Pulse for reference. Through striking in their own right, the kids' heartbeats aren't as blinding compared to their leader's. Even Makoto, whose color is closest to Kyo, distinguishes itself with the saturated orange border enclosing his heartbeat.
I feel I must emphasize how bright Kyo's Sapotama is because when he throws it up into the sky, this thing is glowing like the goddamn sun. Look at the rays coming out of it like an aura. How much e-Pulse do you have, Kyo???
(GD kids again for comparison.)
Next, let's talk about the visual aspect of Kyo's heartbeats.
Kyo's e-Pulse charge is animated with three frames for each heartbeat, totaling to fifteen distinct frames. The first and second frames of each set serve as a faint build-up, leading into the third frame where Kyo's heartbeat bursts onto the screen.
This build-up puts Kyo at a different level. The GD and Tactics kids' e-Pulse bursts into the screen at 100% at all times, but Kyo's e-Pulse can seemingly go from 0 to 100% in the span of a second. This suggests a high amount of control that a former Five Star like him possesses.
If we simply compare the third frames of each heartbeat like we did with GD and Tactics, there are a few things that strike my fancy.
Firstly, Kyo's pulse is physically longer, wider and goes off the screen at all times. Simply put, it means he and Murasamemon can work with a higher level of e-Pulse in battle.
I find it interesting that his 1st and 4th heartbeats are identical, although the frames slightly differ in light intensity. The other three heartbeats are all different, but in general Kyo's e-Pulse keeps a similar beat throughout the entire sequence like the rest of Glowing Dawn.
The final thing that catches my attention is something I don't know how to explain without visual aid, so to illustrate my point with my extremely proficient drawing skills (/no):
That's a funny-looking beat you got there, ya know
These flourishes manifest in extra strokes coming out of the heartbeat. Is this to symbolize Kyo's power as well? The former Star of Gold who's touted to be the image of perfection, so strong that even his e-Pulse comes out in such a unique pattern.
Now if we go back to Cougarmon's heartbeat, it fascinates me now that this heartbeat is more consistent and steady compared to Kyo. Maybe it's a reference to Cougarmon's laid-back attitude during their day-to-day operations, or how ferocious Murasamemon is in battle, able to focus his attacks into a single stroke.

And with that, we have the full Digivolution sequences for everyone in the main cast!
(...except Naito. but does he count as main cast at this point. will he ever get to evolve Gigasmon on screen. actually did Punimon even go with him after Proganomon teleported Naito out of there)
What if Asuka's e-pulse ends up not being the only thing stolen by Genjo?
* Unsettling themes and kidnapping.
There was a rumour of a patient in the cold-heart wing suddenly going missing. Not long after this occurred, this anonymous footage was suddenly sent directly to a certain cleaner team.
Fast forward to the conflict.
Tomoro and Gekkomon was the first to get to Asuka this time. But only because Asuka's kidnapper (Genjo) had been waiting for his impulsive nature to blind him from the risk and was waiting for him to run off :D
Tomoro is not backing down regardless, nor is Gekkomon. Let's just hope they can get through this long enough for everyone else to catch up.
(Afterall Kyo is not that far away from breaking through to where they are now :) )
Realized halfway through that this "breaks canon"…but I still finished it, because I thought it was a cute idea.
(It's still winter, after all!☃️)
I kinda rushed this a bit, to be honest. I wanted to do a quick comic, including inking it. But I still ended up taking longer with cleaning it up and all. But I like it, warts and all.
Alright seeing the preview of next episode where Tomoro being taken to Illegal Digimon Fighting ring that seems runs by Genjo Kanada, this make me remember of this...
This is when Kyo before agreed to join Five Star, he asked to the man with this question. Which make me wondering did Kyo previously run the same Fighting Ring like Genjo when he was Five Star. I also suspicious this since Kyo in past his attire was resemble with gangster/delinquent style 🤔
[ID: 2 panel comic. Panel 1: Chibi Kaito Kutsuna sleeps in bed with a small frown. In his dream, he's beat up, bloodied and laying vulnerable on asphalt, with someone stepping on his sternum. He hisses in pain. Someone's shadow looms over him.
Panel 2: Real Kaito now giggles in his sleep, slightly drooling. He has a small blush. His dream shows his POV from below as Kyo, backlit by the noon sun, moves to stomp on him. He has a look of contempt and wears his old Five Star gangster outfit. His clenched fist and cuff are bloodied. End ID]
'You better be willing to kill me. Like you were back then.'
'[fighting scrubs] doesn't do it for me at all.'
'Isn't there anyone out there who can get me burning?'
= bro is still carrying a torch for his old rival.

He looks like a European nobleman than a skateboarder though. Maybe they're using him as the strong and gentle princely character now hahah
