🚨PSA🚨

To my dearest fanfiction readers,

If you're going to reblog a work, you should make a habit of telling the authors what you thought about their writing. This doesn't mean you have to send them an ask or slide into their DM's with a long ass paragraph that sounds like it was written by Shakespeare (although, if you want to, it would most likely be appreciated). All it means is that you should leave a thought or two in the comments or tags.

When I tell you that writers get off on getting feedback on their work, I'm not being dramatic. I cannot tell you how many times I've gone back to that one reblog on my work just to see the words 'so sweet🥺' written by the person that reblogged it. Everytime someone reblogs my work, I have to check and see if they've left any comments on my work in the tags. When I see that they didn't, I end up feeling dismayed - much more crestfallen than I probably should be.

When it comes down to it, writers are more likely to appreciate written feedback than they are to appreciate notes or follows. This means: LEAVE FEEDBACK FOR AUTHORS THAT'S MORE THAN JUST A NOTE OR REBLOG!!!

It doesn't have to take more than a minute! Here are some tips if you don't know what to say:

1. Tell the author something you liked about their writing. It seriously doesn't have to be more than '[insert scentence/phrase] was beautifully written; keep up the good work!'

2. Thank the writer for providing the content that you consumed! We appreciate this simple phrase more than you would ever know.

3. Tell the writer about something within the story you thought was interesting/intriguing.

4. You can even tell the writer something you didn't like about the work, but this DOES NOT mean you should bash the writer for how/what they wrote!!!

The key to leaving feedback is that you just... do it. There isn't a secret formula to what you should say to a writer, all you need to do is be kind to them - remain civil with what you're saying and they'll most likely appreciate the feedback.

I know this wasn't very coherent and that there are several things missing within this, but I just want you all to know that WRITERS APPRECIATE FEEDBACK!!!!

i reread literally all the notes left when i’m having a bad day and they make me smile so much. honestly you may never think about it again but we do!!! i constantly go back through the reviews left on Boys Like This and Sleeping Under the Stars and it motivates me so much

literally when someone references a specific point in my writing that they liked it’s just the best thing ever

thank you to everyone who’s left notes and who does leave notes they honestly are the best things and they do motivate us to write. yes we all started our blogs because we wanted to but we always like to know that people are enjoying what we’re putting out

even just a quick ‘i loved this’ or ‘cute 🥺’ will make someone’s day

I’m gonna try to make a writing schedule since my schedule has changed a lot since I came back from hiatus, with school and my job its hard for me to find time and inspiration. I’m gonna try though, because writing makes me happy.

[10:19PM] You were snuggled with Renjun on your couch while watching Netflix.

You softly played with his hair as he relaxed in your arms. “I love you so much.” You whispered before kissing his temple.

He smiled and shifted to look up at you, “I love you, too baby.” You hugged him and pulled a blanket closer to the two of you.

“You work so hard and I’m really proud of you.” You said as you moved to continue playing with his hair. “Where’s this all coming from, y/n?” You shrugged. “I don’t know, just think that you should know. Now, try and get some rest you deserve it.” He smiled and cuddled into you while shutting his eyes.

The sound of the tv and rain helping to lull Renjun to sleep. You were happy to be able to have him in your arms and there was no place you’d rather be.

“It’s not my fault you suck so badly at pool.”

“Shut up, Haechan!” You pouted as you were trying to make a shot, but Haechan kept ‘accidentally’ bumping into you.

“Maybe it’s you who sucks badly if you have to cheat!” You glared at him. He look at you with fake shock and gasped. “How dare you question my skills.”

You rolled your eyes and shot, making it. “Loser.” You coughed. As he shot he missed making the 8 ball into the hole.

You jumped “Oh yeah!” You shouted while he was pouting. You laughed and kissed his cheek. “It’s just a game, let’s go get food.” You said while putting on your shoes.

He sat there blushing and smiling while hold his cheek. “Yeah, just a game.” He got up to put on his shoes.

Home Early

You had went straight to a cafe with your best friend to study and have some early dinner. After a while she noticed that you were getting very stressed and tired so you two decided to just finish eating and leave.

You walked home since you didn’t live far from the cafe or your school. You grabbed your keys out of your pocket already feeling the pull of tiredness. It was luckily Friday so you don’t have to go back to school tomorrow.

You opened the door and almost screamed seeing someone sound asleep on your couch. When you notice who the familiar sillouette was your tiredness faded and so did your stress.

You didn’t turn on the lights of your house and just went to your room to quickly change. You did your night routine and went back out to the couch.

The person had not moved. You bent down next to your sleeping boyfriend’s face. You softly brushed his dark brown hair out of his face. You had a mini battle in your mind if you wanted to wake him up. He was still in his work clothes & makeup from earlier that day.

You decided to keep him asleep as long as possible. You softly kissed his forehead and went to your bathroom to grab your makeup wipes.

You set them down on the coffee table and pulled one out. You turned to your boyfriend and softly smiled. You gently held back his hair and carefully wiped the makeup off of him.

You admired him. He was so beautiful and looked so peaceful. You weren’t able to see each other much due to him being an idol and you weren’t openingly dating yet. Only your families and his members knew about you two.

You wished it didn’t have to be that way but it was best. You were just happy to be able to call Jeno your boyfriend and be able to kiss him and cuddle him. You were so happy he was here.

He sturred in his sleep and slowly open his eyes. “Y/N?” he murmured in a slightly raspy voice. “Shh baby, I’m almost done.” you said softly. He closed his eyes again.

You finished and put the now dirty makeup wipe on your coffee table. You kissed his nose than kissed him. He hummed and you smiled.

“You came home early.” You smiled running your fingers through his hair. “Our schedules got rescheduled and we got tonight and all of tomorrow off.” He said sitting up.

“I came here around 7pm and you weren’t here so I ended up falling asleep.” He continued. You frowned. “Sorry baby, I went to a cafe with my friend and studied. I didn’t notice it was so late when I got home.”

“It’s okay, I’m just happy your here now and we can cuddle.” He smiled kissing you. “You should change I think I still have some of your sweatshirts and sweats here.” You kissed him again before letting him get up to change.

You cleaned up the makeup wipes and put them back in your bathroom. You went into your room and found Jeno laying in your bed with his eyes closed.

You shimmied in beside him and he wrap you in his embrace. You sighed happily. “Goodnight baby, I love you.” You kissed his jaw softly. He smiled and kissed your forehead. “I love you too princess.”

You felt yourself drifting off, happy to finally be back in your boyfriends arms.

Roller Skating - Jaemin Soulmate!AU

Note: I think I’m going to do these for all the members of nct dream. I ain’t sure though. I’m sorry if it’s bad and also late. I had some trouble with the ending.

AU: Sharing Pain Soulmate AU! Where bruises, cuts, blisters, and such appear on your skin if your soulmate gets them and visa versa. Like if you get a paper cut your soulmate gets the same cut.

So when you were younger your parents would always tell you to be younger to be careful

You were like “why?”

But as you got older they taught you about soulmates

You were always worried about hurting yourself because you didn’t wanna hurt your soulmate

But apparently your soulmate wasn’t as careful or just very clumsy

Small little pains would mostly appear in your legs and hands and rarely a small cut or two

That was the start

Over time you’d get leg and other pains more often, but the small cuts were still rare

You decided that your soulmate did care for you some

But still getting random aches and pains was annoying

You were sure when you met your soulmate they would get a taste of your fists

Time skip

You were out for lunch with your friends and hear your best friend talking about something

She was talking about this guy that she knows is moving cities and coming to your city

Your best friend had already found her soulmate so she wasn’t interested

She then turned to you and evilly smiled

oh shiss bish

You just looked at her questionally

“He is a dancer that happens to hurt himself randomly by falling and ya know being a dancer”

You were confused why she was telling you this

Because like he couldn’t be your soulmate

oh sweetie

She just said that you should meet him

You were kind of thinking well it couldn’t hurt

And apparently he is really cute too

Another time skip because i can

It was the next day and you were gonna go roller skating with your best friend, her soulmate, & the new boy

Which now you know as jaemin from your friend giving you a whole essay on him

You met jaemin and were surprised

He was really cute and nice too

You were kind of clumsy so you didn’t move from the side of the skating rink

Your best friend had come over to you and pulled you from the side out to the open

You panicked because you knew you were going to fall

You were beside jaemin when you fell on your knees

Which lowkey hurt but you brushed it off

You looked up and noticed jaemin wince and fall

Which you panicked because you thought he was really good at skating

And all the sudden your knees hurt like 10 times worse than they did before

You crawled to him in shock and panic

“Are you okay?”

He looked at you and smiled brightly

You were like how can you smile that fall obviously hurt

He suddenly hugged you and you’re oblivious ass was shocked

You asked if he was okay again

“Never better”

You were so confused because wasn’t he supposed to be in pain

He noticed you confusion and chuckled

“You’re cute when your oblivious, soulmate”

You were shook

Did he just say soulmate

He just stooded up and reached his hand for you to grab

You came out of your shock and were excited because you just found your soulmate

Your friend skated over to you and said your welcome before going to her soulmate

You glared at her and then glared at jaemin

“Boi why are you always getting hurt, did you know that it hurts me?”

He just laughed

“You just hurt me back by falling, and you weren’t all that careful either”

You sighed because it’s true you did happen to bump into things a lot

But it never occurred too often and it was never serious enough to really worry about

“I guess we are even”

He smiled and grabbed your hand

“Well know that we are together, i’m gonna teach you how to skate properly so I don’t get hurt”

You just smiled and nodded
