It's been a long time since I've shared this piece with anyone, and I've revisited the concept in later works.. but there is just something about the way this turned out that makes me feel a certain way, despite it being a bit flatter than my later works. Titan Dragonfly Refinery, 11x14 marker on paper. Let's start the day on another world.. this one is less sci-fi fantasy and more, very possible distant future! I feel lately, the lines between scifi and reality are starting to blur. Here is a story I wrote based on my #illustration : "Dragonfly Hydrocarbon Refinery - Titan; Saturnian System, 2134. The days here are cold, and ever long.. locked to the face of the ringed giant, we work under the eternal twilight of the Titan haze. The shifts are long and boring, mostly regulating computer control temperatures. The pressure here is like swimming at the bottom of a 10 foot pool, but you get used to it after a few weeks. What keeps us going?
