What happened in Berlin was so scary to me. It rlly showed how far the right wing is willing to go.
People of color and ppl who aren't ethnically German(like me, I'm half turkish and half Kurdish) are scared to go outside.
And the media is definitely trying to cover this up, please educate yourself on what's happening in Europe- especially about what just happened in Germany.
Ppl rlly forget what happened just 80yrs ago.

Right wing nationalists in Germany (aka n@zis)and covid deniers went to on a protest without masks and all the safety rules and, then decided to spread anti semitism, propaganda et cetera. After that they stormed the German parliament with n@zi flags and symbols.
I've seen tweets of poc and ppl who aren't ethnically German(like me), being scared to go outside. There's lots of footage especially on twitter please educate yourself on this and spread the message.
Nationalism is on rise again.
Also- the "Hanau shooting" happened in February and our Memorial "demonstration" got canceled.
The Hanau shooting was the killing of bout 10 ppl. The shooter was a n@zi and killed them simply bc they weren't German. He then killed his own mother and committed suicide afterwards.
Also, protests against said neo nazis and those against the covid restrictions, not all the protesters wear masks nor keep any safety distance between each-other either, its counterproductive and only causes more uproar.

I keep thinking about how we really had teachers yelling at us as children and had to ask for permission to eat or go to the bathroom and couldnt choose who we sit next to until we were 18... and we really were obedient to all these obscure rules... and thinking about how we had our grown ass 50 year old fathers starting arguments with us over nothing and screaming without us being able to yell back??? As children? Our parents making fun of us for normal behaviours and things we cant do anything about like the way we look and genuinely thinking its funny and a good idea to do that? Youre all 50 years old arguing with and getting mad at 14 year old children for being children??? Idk its really hitting me that adults didnt use to see kids as people when we were growing up and they were so wrong for that because now as a grown adult i cant imagine treating children like it used to be normal for me as a child to be treated.... what goes on in your head for you to do that to them.

i knew the state of societyâs view of children was bad but i didnât realize just how dire the situation was was until the lockdown began. this last month or so has really opened my eyes to how much people dislike children, even their own children, simply because they exist and they need them because you know⊠theyâre small humans without the capacity to care for themselves. it seems harmless but memes talking about how parents need alcohol to deal with their kids or canât wait for their kids to go back to school so someone else can deal with them does harm in that it dehumanizes children and puts blame on the children for existing when itâs not the childâs fault they were brought into the world. it also brings about another uncomfortable fact: if you donât like the way your children behave, barring them having a behavioral disorder or disability, youâre probably to blame and need to reevaluate how youâre raising them. children are more than innocent bystanders⊠they are helpless and absolutely reliant on the adults around them to not only provide for them, but to show them love which in turn sets the precedent for how they will love in the future. this attitude implying they asked to be here and that itâs okay to joke about how annoying they are has got to stop.Â
The whole lockdown situation has also really highlighted how a good percentage of the population donât see schools and teachers as places for learning or educators⊠They just see them as daycares/babysitters they donât have to pay for.
I donât know how many times Iâve heard stories of how, when schools were first starting to close, parents still tried dropping their kids off with the excuse of âwell, SOMEONE has to be here! I canât take them!â or parents who have been bemoaning the sudden torture of having to spend time with their kids as âIâm losing my FUCKING mind; what the hell am I supposed to do with these kids?!â
Itâs one thing if you work for an âessential businessâ and you donât have anyone at home to watch your kids, but the parents who are also stuck at home who are acting like the thought of spending time with a life THEY brought into the world is insane.
